Benefits of Being Registered Disabled

Wow! Now we moving onto national debt and nationalism because of what I simply asked was available by being in receipt of DLA. REAL problem with this country is everybody being jumped up and judgemental. As I said I am simply following rules, policies and procedures laid down by others, nothing more nothing less!0

I have a disability that makes queuing for long times difficult. I also can't ride roller coasters because I have a pacemaker. I don't cash in on my disability by letting my roller coasting friends jump queues - I just don't go to these sort of parks.0

i have a blue badge, and find it strange that in many car parks it makes you exempt from parking fees. i understand being able to park closer to where you need to be is good...........but being disabled doesnt mean youre less able to pay the charge.
you would be amazed at how many car parks have inaccessable payment machines, they are often to high, up kurbs or on paths to narrow for my wheelchair which means that I cant access them as a wheelchair user.0 -
My apologies, I never realised things are quite pedantic here, now I am being blamed for national debt? I agree if anybody is capable of working they must work and earn a living, but, what if you cant, what if you genuinely struggle on a daily basis and simply came here asking about what else is available by being in receipt of Disability Living Allowance? I may have come across as a money grabbing person, but I am not, I simply asked a question, and as I said it was very well answered in the first reply, the rest it seems are just shoulders and large sized chips!
Again, many thanks, in future I appreciate I will have to be sure.0 -
Thank you and yes - that is exactly what I am talking about. You may be disabled and entitled to some extra consideration. But where does the fact or expectation of reduced charges come into it?
This has already been explained - many disabled people may need someone with them.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

Brown, it looks as though the mods have had a clear out since you last read the thread.
It may be worthwhile to have a read through again, with "fresh eyes" and F5 :rotfl:, and see that many people here are fighting your corner. Don't let this put you off posting in future.
Just a thought, like.

This post, and its replies, have bothered me. Finally worked it out.
If it'd been Mum [of disabled child] looking to save a few pennies, this forum would have been beside itself to help her.
As it was, Dad [either has to be the breadwinner, or the F*ck who won't pay his way] dared to ask a question.
Why can't a disabled Dad, ask without prejudice?
Give the guy a bloody break.0 -

Methinks you have a bee in your bonnet - where has anyone suggested that the sex of the person asking is an issue?Gone ... or have I?0 -
don't take it personally browneb.
things often go off on a tangent!
probably, this is the wrong place, but the benefits system is so unfair that people feel the need to vent, it's not aimed at you, just the system in general.0 -

The sex [well, not quite] was something I queried i.e. Mothers never seem to be questioned...
As for bee in the bonnet, are you kidding? I'm female and I couldn't think of worse than having a child, nevermind having a child because....0
