  • I can't believe Esqui really works for Currys.
His flippant remarks alone would dissuade me from shopping there.

Look around Sirmarcus posts and you'll see why.

Also while not belittling the OP's problem I don't think its case that really needed escalating, the more people that send emails to that address the less influence it will have, as in everyone and their mom will email that address to try and get a response to the littlest of problems while truly massive ballsup will take a while to be noticed and resolved.

If the OP went through the correct complaints procedure and still wasn't satisfied than it would warrant a email to JB. But Sirmarcus like to use it as a first response

I guess humour doesn't come across quite so well in text :/

And sirmarcus, I don't think it would cause much of a delay, I was just making the point that it ends up passed back to the same customer service team as the usual route would have, in the vast majority of cases anyway.

In any case, having re-read the thread, a resolution for the OP was not time-critical as his cooker was installed eventually, and he just wanted to make it known what had gone on.

I've just got yet another spam email from Currys.

They must have got my email address from the email I sent them to inform them that their procedures on faulty goods were incorrect.

They have failed to respond to that or any attempts I have made to unsubscribe to their spams; OP's subject line sums them up to me.

We'll see if cc'ing in Mr Browett achieves anything.

Don't bother CC'ing him. Send directly and complain...I've got loads of good results by doing this.:)

Something happened, got an email from the SCC Customer Solutions Team saying they have taken off my email address but I may still get spam for the next six weeks.

Good luck anyone else that tries to take a faulty camera back to them...
