Dixons / Currys : Just incredibly useless...

We have just waited in all afternoon for our new cooker to be delivered/installed. About twenty minutes after the end of our delivery window, I phoned them, only to be told they deliver up until 8pm and I'd have to wait. Then, over two hours late, the driver phones me to to announce that he can deliver the new cooker...but isn't qualified to detach the old one and install the new! As we live in a flat, we don't have room for two cookers, so he has had to take the new one back. What a complete balls up by Dixons / Currys. When I told him (the driver) the service was !!!!!, his response was..."well, thats Currys for you I'm afraid." Never, ever again!

    Gotta love those contract drivers*

*I can almost guarantee it was not a Dixons employed driver, they actually know what they're doing

If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.

  • But why would they use a contract driver, when the customer has paid for installation as well as delivery? To be honest, the driver didn't sound too surprised by this cockup, either.

That is one of life's mysteries. The only thing I can think of is an error at the delivery centre putting your cooker on a delivery-only route.
