I bought one yesterday afternoon, I couldnt use my debt card (only used for online purchases and never taken outside house) and today I get a fraud call from Satander of possible unauthorised transaction of £2 from tesco direct.

I couldn't order from tesco for some reason despite trying 3 times it keep getting refused something to do with tesco wont accept my address to pick up goods in store even though my address is clearly on there system and have made several purchases before

I am awaiting a call back from bank as I was kept on hold for ages

Interesting - I had the same problem. Thought it was because I was using a paypal top up card which sometimes gets rejected as although it says Visa you sometimes need to select Visa Electron (I think) from a drop down box to get it to work and Tesco Direct doesn't have a card type box - they just ask for the card number, expiry date and 3 digit code.

Satander left a message on answer machine at 9am and had to ring back went through security checks and the bot said £2 transaction from tesco direct (last time I used tescos was in August 2010) which I am disputing. The lines were busy said they call back, like hell they have so far, I aint ringing 0845 number again and kept waiting only to eb told again someone will ring

Interesting i had same trouble ordered on Saturday, when i posted it. Went to shops yesterday card blocked. Checked balance no money taken for Tesco. Called bank furious, because i thought they maybe out of stock, and i would not get one.
They said it was because it had come up as .com and it was security flagged as spending in the USA.
My advice is get card unlocked. Call Tesco with order number, they will take payment over the telephone.

You get a case with it, well I did with my blue Linux one that I bought a couple of years ago.

It is only a padded sleeve but it does keep protect it from dirt etc, on the right of the pic below.

This is what I did in end OH rang them with her card

My cards fine used it last night with Amazon not sure why £2 fraud came from I never take that card out of my card wallet and its always left in house as I dont know pin number any way

I really dont know why I bother with Satander they are getting worse each year for service, and had loads of aggravation last year with card fraud on my daughters card due to low life scum cloning cards

The covers from poundland do just about fit these netbooks as i have one of the blue ones when they first came out a couple of years ago. I have also ordered a red one and hope to sell my older blue one. Also they sell covers that fit laptops which could also be used on the netbooks simply by putting them in sideways ( as they are just the right fit that way ) and folding the remainder over. Attach an elastic band etc also more protection and job done :)

Just had a text from Tesco saying that it's being delivered tomorrow!

But I won't be able to get my hands on it for 2 weeks :p
