  • I'm out this month :( This week was supposed to be me going hell for leather, but I've done the opposite. Lots of cookies, cakes and other sugary stuff, no fruit and no exercise.

Am down in the dumps, hating how I look and feel, have no motivation for anything and would actually like to just run away. I'm really late for work too so god knows why I'm sitting on the laptop at home still.

Very cross with myself this week, so I shall bow out of the Feb challenge and come back with renewed spirit and vigour for March.

    Hi everyone,

Well done Bluebellbunny on giving up smoking, you can do it!!! Just take one day at a time.

I've done it! I took the wrapper off the Biggest L**ser DVD yesterday, that has been sitting by my TV for the last month. Even more than that I put it on and actually did ten minutes of warm up with Angie, at this point I'd had enough, but I continued and did another 20 minutes workout. So a massive total of 30 minutes exercise!!! well it was my first session in a while.

Haven't done anything exercise wise yet today, but have made up some sugar free jellies for guilt free snacking. Also done a bit of ironing and hoovering which might get rid of a couple of calories.

Hope you feel better soon tara747, we all get them sort of days now and again.

Actually that means you have lost a pound as the previous two weeks were gains so :j:j:j:j

Thanks,= both of you for your kind words. I'm still feeling really down in the dumps. Went out for a run last night and just couldn't get very far. I feel like I have reversed all my hard work in the last few weeks and I just can't get myself jump started. :(:(:(

Managing to play more than 5 minutes of footie with my 11 yo ds is what spurs me on, that and the fact that I have a history of heart diease in the family and was told my lifestyle meant I was more at risk:eek: .

i am losing ideas for healthy meals if anyone can help. one of the main problems being the cost of food right now:eek: even though we have made so many cut backs already we are struggling more and more every month with our shopping bill. I used to be able to do a weeks shop for 3 of us for 40.00, not any more so if anyone has any cheap healthy meals please pass them on :o and its getting to that time of year when my boys no longer want homemade soup etc:(

Do you all like curry and things like that? If you make dried pulse curries they work out quite cheap :o

I think anything in a wrap goes down well with kids. the beauty being you can get away with a minimum amount of the protein food and bulk it out with salad etc. That way even one cold cooked sausage sliced very thinly, a few scraps of finely chopped chicken or half a tin of flaked tuna will stretch for miles! Add some mayo or ketchup for the kids!

You can do the same with HM thin pancakes too. Sliced banana and blob of low fat yog for you. Blob of ice cream on the side and scrape of nutella and thinly sliced banana on the pancake for them, rolled up. Very filling and cheap
