That is why I now have a milkman. The milk may be slightly more expensive, but it's saving me a fortune in things not bought in A$da.
Oh, and I haven't read the thread yet, but petfood is on 3 for 2 in Tesco if it hasn't been mentioned so far.
Great always seem to need petfood :eek:Determined to do better0 -
Morning all, cat got me up so although it is the middle of the night here I am!
Hubby spent about £6 last night - 2 x 4lt milk and wraps to make enchilladas which he actually went for, plus 2 x reduced mushrooms (14p per box), 1 reduced chicken fajitas and 1 reduced chicken chilli noodle meal too. He is good at spotting a bargain!
My question is, do I count this spend in my grocery budget. Hubby contributes to a pot and then sometimes does a bit of top up shopping like this but technically his spend had not touched my budget... What do you do (assuming your money is separate - if he spends on groceries would you reimburse him... would you count it)?

Just noticced we've run out of eggs. Now this in itself is not the problem, the problem is that I will now have to pop into L!dl, (they do 6 free range eggs for 85p), and I will have to be soooo disciplined and not buy anything else.:o"WASTE NOT, WANT NOT!"GC for OH, myself, DD18 & DD16 includes Toiletries, cleaning stuff & Food.

You can do it scotsaver!! "Just the eggs, just the egg, just the eggs..." We're all with you!
I wasn't going to spend today, but having read about the toilet roll offer (thanks minnie2!), I will be making a trip to Mr M tonight, possibly. Went there on Saturday for my normal shopping, so shouldn't be lured into their offers as I've already seems them. Let's hope! Just the loo rolls, just the loo rolls...
Have a great MS day all!

Its been a while since I've been on so I thought I'd just pop in, say hi and declare that my Feb total so far is £46.18. I think maybe some of that was a Jan spend (under £1) but as I'm doing a an annual challenge I dont think it matters too much and I have included it in this month. The £46 is more than I would like to have spent at this point in the month BUT I did have a £4 off £30 coupon so decided to make the most of it before it ran out. Didnt need £30 worth of shopping but its not often you get a coupon (well not often for me anyway
) so I decided to stock up on shower gel, shampoo, loo roll etc on top of what I did need.
Hope you are all wellEmma
