It should last as long as it would if it wasn't frozen, we go through 2 pint bottles like nobodies business and always try to stock up on the milk and bread for the freezer.

Hi all, just popped on to update signature will try and catch up with posts later, things are extremely tight financially and I am finding all the tips they I pick up from the grocery challenge are what are stopping us going off the rails completely, so a big thank you. Life may be in complete chaos but at least the grocery budget is on track so far!!!!!! Take care everyone:D0

Haven't updated signature yet, but i spent aout £11 the the day on groceries and yesterday I spent £14.69. I used one of myy Tescum vouchers for £6 off a £30 spend and stocked up on the half price Quorn they have on offer at the moment. Last night we used half a 500g bag with some couscous. So since each bag of Quorn was £1.49 at half price and we used only half a bag in the meal (which was plenty!) it cost us about £1.20 for our whole meal.
My goodness the eggs were expensive though, well to me they were. A dozen eggs were £3.07 i think. They were free range, but i usually buy them when the free range ones are on offer but the only offers were on the caged hens eggs.
Nevermind, we will have to use them sparingly!Grocery Challenge for October: £135/£200

i don't buy freerange (i would like to but needs must) but i nearly dropped a few weeks back when i wnet to buy 6 value ones and they'd shot up fro 63p to 99p in the space of a few weeks, so i went across the road to iceland and got 12 for £1 insteadDEC GC £463.67/£450

Well... A NSD for me today, but tomorrow is a delivery day so I will be £60 down tomorrow from my shop in Asda but that will take me well into my new month.
I was rooting round my cupboards this week and found some sugar free jelly sachets so have made four wee jellies in black currant flavour. They were left over from my last WW attempt so they will be useful this week! Two for tonight after dinner (one for me one for OH) and two for our lunches tomorrow in little pots.
Going to have roast chicken but instead of roast veg as planned, going to have it with brown bread, jacket potatoes and sweetcorn.
Incidently, does anyone know the average calorie and fat content of a home made brown loaf? I'm finding it difficult to work it out. It had one tablespoon of oil in it and then flour, salt, water and yeast. Oh forgot to add it was 500g of flour!
Thanks!Feb GC: £200 Spent: £190.790 -
I have thought about doing this but a friend told me that milk tasted funny afterwards  Have you found it tastes ok?GC 2023 June £72/500 NSDs 1/100

Should not have taken Mr Lotti to L!dl.

£29.92 later, we have two boxes of Grolsch (we needed some for a party tonight, and they were on offer at £8 each, so probably a good buy in the long run... and I should just say we won't get through 2 boxes in one night!!), parma ham, grapes (actually those were my fault...very good price though), tropicana juice, edam, parmesan, irn bru... oh the list goes on.
He got a bit overexcited, and sort of forgot the budget... And I indulged him, partly as I know it's cheaper than T*sco metro...
Silly Lotti. So now we are up to £129.26/£200, by the 8th of February.  “Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goals.”
