I have thought about doing this but a friend told me that milk tasted funny afterwards  Have you found it tastes ok?
My mum always freezes milk, I would if I had space, it has always tasted ok to me! But then people can be funny about milk, I know some who think milk only tastes "right" when the bottle has been freshly opened (as in unsealed) the minute you want to use it...
And at the other end of the scale, I long for the days of non-homogenised milk with the creamy top, that was always the best bit for cornflakes! :rotfl:“Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goals.”

I've been freezing milk for years and I've honestly never noticed any difference in the taste... don't throw the string away. You always need string!

My goodness the eggs were expensive though, well to me they were. A dozen eggs were £3.07 i think. They were free range, but i usually buy them when the free range ones are on offer but the only offers were on the caged hens eggs.
Nevermind, we will have to use them sparingly!
I usually buy six large free range eggs from the smallholding up the road for £1.25, but just lately I have been getting them from B & M for 99p. I would never buy eggs from caged birds, would rather go without, the poor hens have a terrible life.

We've recently started freezing milk and it seems fine to me.
Lotti, I buy non-homogenised milk! I don't know where you are but I buy organic non-homogenised milk made by a Welsh farmers co-operative and it's called Calon Wen (they also do cheese, butter and cream). It's definitely available in MrT and MrM but I don't know if that's in the whole of UK or just in Wales. It's probably worth you asking if you like it. They've got a website which may be able to give you your local stockist? It's the only brand I've found that offers non-homogenised milk. Comes in the usual semi-skimmed or whole milk and it does taste delish on cornflakes. I also think that a cup of tea tastes much better with it too!
Hope that helps,
