£6.27 spent at Mr T yesterday on bananas, apples, soup, yogurt and cereal. Bought the 3 for 2 offer on cereal and put one box away into my June box.

I had to give DH some cash for his lunch today as the bread failed in the breadmaker again. I definatley but everything in in the correct order but it was like a leaden lump so no bread for sandwiches:(

No time to catch up with the thread this morning as I have a job interview this afternoon I only found out about late yesterday and I have a presentation to prepare for it:eek: Will catch up tonight.

  • I thought I would manage a NSD today but I need some onions because I want to make soup this evening. But I will enter the shop and come out with just onions! Ds no3 made couscous in cookery yesterday and I have brought it in for my lunch today. I now have all my ingredients so tomorrow I plan to make the doner kebab from The Takeaway Secret.

My signature makes sorry reading but it was my first month back on the challenge. We live and learn!

Went to Tesco to do a shop yesterday and thought some of you might be interested in the price of Tescos strong white bread flour. It's gone down to 50p a 1.5kg bag!:T I bought 3 bags and shall stock up on some more next week if it's still at that price.

  • Was hoping for a NSD today, but I need some double cream, I AM going to show some restraint and just go into the shop and only buy that :)
  • Morning all-not doing brilliantly this month as have only got £52 pounds in the budget for the rest of the month-don't see it lasting! Will try my best though :)

  • Hi all,

Keeping the spending down fairly well, although I did splurge on a piece of fillet (:o) steak at the weekend  but it was soooo worth it (haven't had one for months).

Despite that I'm in a better position than this point in previous months, only(!) 19 days till payday and spent less than half of my budget :rotfl:(well it's better than last month!)

I'm in Manchester friday night so need to keep my GC head on, no spontaneous chinese buffets etc (unless OH wants to treat me of course ;)).

I might try a super-minimalist shop this weekend and see how much I can use my storecupboard and frzr (it's like a freezer, only smaller :D).

Off to the recipe list I go! :T
