Afternoon all,
Very cold here....would love a bit of warm weather....for some reason January has seemed very long, damp and cold.
Went shopping this morning with OH and ended up exceeding by Jan budget by more than €36....freezer is packed so there will be no more shopping until it is at least half empty!
JC....congratulations on the job.
HH....great to hear about your rise...well overdue.
Ruby....Go after them, no matter what, your dad has been badly treated now by bother worker and manager so they should be brought to book for it....not sure what other staff keeping shtum means, hate that kind of carp!
Hugs to all

Afternoon all! :hello:
I haven't been here for a couple of days, have been feeling tired and under the weather and my eyes couldn't cope with reading the whole thread until today!
No OS news really, might get to work with the white vinegar some more this weekend! Exciting eh?:D
I'm going to a radio skills class tomorrow at the local community radio station. I did a voiceover for a jingle for them at the end of last year. Hadn't done anything like that since uni, but I enjoyed it so thought I'd brush up on my skills.
Got a surprise party to go to tomorrow night and my mum is coming round for tea and cakes on Sunday as it's her birthday on Monday. _party_
Need to do some washing tonight. Dinner will be eggs, chips and beans then some Minstrels later on which I bought at Tesco earlier from a nice young man who was ever so friendly and easy on the eye!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Hester – well done on the pay rise! :j

I hope you all have a nice evening.

Have a good day everyone.
Hugs Hester
Congrats on the pay riseMorning All
I got the jobWill hand my notice in on Tuesday (Monday will be the businest day of the year for the bosses - no need to add to the stress!) so back to full-time work for me from March!
For the meanwhile Friday is still my day off - some MS calls to make this morning and doctors this afternoon for some scan results and hopefully to get weighed.
Still on the healthy eating trek - all though I did have a bottle of wine last night to celebrate
Enjoy your day x
Congrats on the new job
We have had some good news on the job front too!! OH's uncle is going to see if it's possible to take him on as part of the team :T This is great as OH will have lots of work...but it's at least an hour journey each day (hence the idea we may move) but i don't want to leave my job, i've just started and i love it too much! Although it's very early days re: OH the cost of the commute may mean we are better off getting him a bedsit there and i keep our house here as i know that i can pay for this house on my wages alone and he could just get a little bed sit or a mon-thurs things.
He's working late again and i need to decide what to do with the haddock that is defrosting for dinner!!Annual Grocery Budget £364.00/£1500
Debt payments 2012 £433.270 -

Bit late in the day to join the throng--i hope all your problems have been little ones and all your little ones have been good!---financially it has been a mixed day due to the fluctuations of currencies--i am pushing Mrs De towards to pushing our business partner out of the nest--i am not into business partnerships but Mrs de is friends with her. the partner has been ill this week and we have had access to all her students and she really isnt pulling her weight.---we could employ someone to do a better job and buy her out--i have no sentiment which i believe is right in business.--Mrs de is the cog of our business and i am just the money man--with an ability to teach----i have utmost confidence in my wife to run the business:mfw'11 No68- 55k mortgage İO--little to nothing saved! i must do better.0 -
Evening Everyone
Late posting today. just had so much to do today.
Went down town to get the rest of my prescription and it's still not in so they have told me they will ring me when it gets there
Can't get any appointments with either the asthma nurse or nurse that does smears until the middle of next week, because she is fully booked - problem is I have a hossy appointment on Thursday so it looks like Friday or the following week
DH knows someone who may be taking on apprentices next year and it includes a uni course with itand so he has put DS's name down.
Jc....Great news about the job :T
HH..... You deserve a rise with what you have to put up with :T
Redruby ... I find the fact that your father was questioned without anyone being there totally out of order, it sounds like they are trying to cover things up, and of course, because your Dad is confused they will attempt to show that he is not compus mentis
I found this and wondered if it will be any use to you

Mate if you are not happy with your business partner then get shot. Buy them out or what ever. Its not worth the agrow of poutting up with it all. If you dont adress this then you will just end up turning it all over in your mind and worrying about it all. This will start to affect your work and your business.
Good luck:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j0 -

We need more people in this country taht do this sort of course. Classroom and on the job. A very good mix. I now wish that i had done somthing like this when i was younger.
