Buyer trying it on

Go for it you have nothing to lose at this stage. I was merely stating that personally I think you are on a loser. You will almost certainly lose the dispute. You will not take her to the SCC and you will possibly get a neg.
I may never know if I was right but you will....LOL0 -

You would only lose the dispute if the buyer actually sent back the item. The idea of a bluff is that the buyer believes you do have photo's and backs off, not sending back anything.
As I said, it's all conjecture, especially as OP has shown her hand and accused the buyer.0 -
I've scared of a scammer by calling their bluff too....they claimed the item was faulty, I offered a refund and mentioned it had hidden security markings (it didn't!) and they decided that even though it was 'faulty' they would keep it after all. Definitely worth a go!:j30/7/10:j

She now has 4 dolls houses! Shes prepared to keep mine if I issue her a refund to cover fuel costs to buy & return the one she bought from ELC as she said she will swap the "damaged parts" with the one she bought. Im so stressed over this i dont see why I should cover diesel both was as she was going anway yesterday as she bought all the furniture etc.Wins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0

Strange she has stated she is selling one house as she does not need two while at the same time buying two more.
Strange she spotted a missing tiny screw but missed the house was scribbled over in their first message.
The last post makes no sense to me (buy and return?).
Have they stated how much the fuel costs are.
If not I guess Google maps can give you an idea of possible cost.
Perhaps a small discount can end the matter.0 -

She is asking you to pay her to scam the other company!
What a scam, now I'm convinced too!!!
If she wants the money she has to return it, which is going to cost her money and she would be worse off. She is trying to get a nice 'discount'.
If it was me I would stick to my guns and say return or nothing. Somehow I'd be surprised if she was actually going to spend money to return it, but you never know.
This is going to end in a neg/low stars, almost certainly.
Try not to take it personally, (easy said than done) if you sell a lot it's not a matter of 'if' but 'when' you get scammed, and if they are good there will be nothing you can do about it.
You need to look at the bigger picture, every retail company costs in 'shrinkage' in their budget, that includes thieves, scammers and the like, this is the same.
Hope it ends well for you, good luck!:)0 -
I feel for you OP. I was selling some bits on ebay just last week and have been scammed by the buyer.
Sold him 3 items and he lied and said 1 was not the item he bought and 1 item was missing from the package even though it had not been opened. He lied, of course, and I ended up giving him his money back so he has my items and money.
OK, they only cost around £6 plus postage but I have complained to ebay and he is under investigation, but bet they don't do anything. Looking at his feedback he has done this before.
So good luck, but be prepared for a negative. ((hugs))0 -
Yeah i vote for buy her dolls house and do the same. o and if you do return have a !!!!!! in it!0

Really feel for you, had a similar thing happen to me. Sold a football shirt that was in superb condition, the buyer then sends me a message to say that the shirt had a lot of tiny brown marks on it. Got the shirt back and it did indeed have said marks, plus rubbing to the neck etc. This was not my shirt for certain, it had obviously been swapped, however had to refund as the powers that be would side with the buyer for sure. Threw the shirt returned away, couldn't bear to look at it as it felt dirty.
The things some people will stoop to.0
