Anyway, we've been phoned today and vodafone have listened to the original call and now know that we were told that it could and would be capped. They have recredited our account and I am now satisfied. I have got to speak to their customer service department again just to check some things but it seems that it is sorted out. Again thankyou so much to everyone on here for your kind words and advice, I couldn't have done it without you all.
Out of interest whats going to happen in the future are they going to be able to cap it ????It's not just about the money0 -
Good result Bubbles ....Well done

Apparently from what I was told it is capped at 50p over the £10 but not to rely on it and to ring a number to check how many minutes are used and how many are left. I will see what happens and if I aren't satisfied then I will seriously consider going back to T mobile for the peace of mind. I know that my daughter will not go over again though as she was devastated when she found out what had gone on.0 -
Well done a good result. I too have had a good result today and via the CEO's office have had my dispute investigated and the account cleared of all charges. Thanks to Karen and the directors office.0

Congratulations both of you on your results.
I probably read too much into some of the results we get on here, but I am also reading "Those who work at The Connection, Newbury have started watching the MSE threads and are appeasing many accounts to give it some good PR spin".
But.... you percevered and succeeded.... very good show.Signaller, author, father, carer.0 -
so its a good job afterall, they they 'record calls for security purposes'!
i would of thought giving a daughter a contract phone would be the start of a slippery slope tho, what next, make up, condoms?Target Savings by end 2009: 20,000
current savings: 20,500 (target hit yippee!)
Debts: 8000 (student loan so doesnt count)
new target savings by Feb 2010: 30,0000 -

The whole point of this situation was we were being responsible parents. We chose contracts with high minutes and in my case unlimited texts and put the spendchecker in place. This was confirmed on two different occasions by vodafone staff, who assured me the £1 credit limit was in place. Good result in the end due to karen at the directors office investigating the whole thing. Of the 10 plus vodafone staff I spoke to and who stated there was no record of spend checker being put in place by me, she confirmed it was clearly recorded on my account for all to see and had they looked into it properly they would have seen it.
And guess that girls do tend to talk more than boys to their many friends!
The motto her is don't give up and take it to the highest level you can. Especially when you know your not lying and they have the records to prove it.0 -
"Of the 10 plus vodafone staff" customer services are not Vodafone staff - that is all i need to say.SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0
