  • Hmmm DT think you might have been right with that

Well spent Sat returning the house to a civilised (ish) state and even managed a trip to the gym!
Sun was DIY day as DH is now in Hospital having a rather nasty spinal op, but he should end up better than new! (after a few months!!)
So on the money front little spent as we had the bits needed for the DIY anyway !! and plenty of food in the house

1 loan payment and a card went out today so once they clear I can round up the card payment as per my plans!
Off to visit the DH now !!

Have a low day all, and try not to get blown away xx

So now I just need to keep going!

  • Hope everything goes well with the op I like the idea of getting the most out of him by doing the DIY the day before his op :)

  • DT he is a man who will do whatever it takes to get things done, once he sets his mind to it (it's the setting his mind to it that appears to be the issue!) he had secided that these jobs needed doing so that was that ;)

He is feeling better but just trying to keep on top of the pain now hopefully that will be done by the time he comes home.

Spent 4.50 on lunch out yesterday, had not planned to be at the hospital so long yesterday and needed to keep the diet on track,

Also need to grab another pair of PJ's as his are too hot:cool: but I don't blame him it is like a sauna in there.

I will be trying to keep it low apart from that, need to get a top up food shop for our house guest, I can see where things have been going wrong now!

  • LOL at getting his mind set - but at least he is not one that starts a job and never finishes it that would drive me mental.

I had to get someone in to finish off the jobs that XOH had started but not finished.....finally did it the week I moved house - so never did get the benefit of things being lovely!!

And yes, it did drive me round the bend - certainly contributed to my stresslevels somewhat at the time.

My new house is a new build though, so nothing needs doing - all lovely and shiny and no need for DIY from anyone, other than a few picture hooks being put up :D

  • Ohh sometimes I do look round and think Hmmm new build would be lovely but then I look at the rest and think no... we are in a place where this is our family home and we have all grown up or older
so at the moment it is a good place with a few knocks and imperfections (bit like my face really!)
But I can see why you feel happy in your new place Hypno I think it's a fab descision

Anyway I spent £7 on hubby PJ's and some toiletries & £17 on a top up shop :o ( I will get this food budget down!!!) No more bills to go out now until later this week so just trying to keep it low for now

DH is up and about more so here's to him being home for the weekend :j

  • I keep thinking nice new contemporary house efficient to run clean lines :) - but actually my house is nice but it needs money spending on it - windows replacing and if it was to be my perfect house it needs remodelling inside to make the space work better for us and it is in a lovely convenient spot but the garden is too big for us really so some major attention to that to make it less work would be great but all these things are major expense things we have done the things we can afford and I don't want to waste money doing stuff that would be wasted if we ever managed to do the big stuff but of course that just means nothing gets done - hard to know what to do for the best really

Hurrah to OH being home at the weekend

MIA due to hubby being released from hospital
Have spent the last two days running around so now need to have a look at the money situation:eek: it has taken a bit of a battering due to pills, pillows and PJ's all being required!

However I have lost another 2 Llbs :T

  • OK so that wasn't quite as quick as I expected but my god this nursing lark don't half take up your time :o

So with all the running about I kept all my receipts but didn't keep as tight a hold as I would have liked, but I'm back on here and begining to see how things have veered off track in the past
SO that's all good I suppose!

I have made another £174 payments so all is good with the world, of too check my cupboards and do some ironing, (all glam I am!)

    Happy valentines

  • Hi Funny,

Just popped in browsing the diaries as you do lol and thought that I would say hi!!

You seem to be keeping a really good track of the finances, which is probably the most important thing in getting rid of debt, knowing where it's going lol

I will keep an eye and wish you luck!
