But was it needed to start a thread about it,

Well it warns anyone who might have thought about buying it for the first time that they would have had a somewhat poor chance of enjoying it, so I would say that's a useful thread.
There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.
  • You should have seen the frozen 'cottage pie' I bought at the local corner shop the other night. Unfamiliar brand, only £2 for a family size, wasn't expecting much but even so...lots of potato, lots of gravy, 11 small pieces of mince (we counted). Gee, that's nearly 3 bits of mince each.
Cash not ash from January 2nd 2011: £2565.:j

OU student: A103 , A215 , A316 all done. Currently A230 all leading to an English Literature degree.

Any advice given is as an individual, not as a representative of my firm.

Sorry to hear about the above.

Although it does show that you buy rubbish from Ken Hom, Tesco and a corner shop.

Thank goodness my family does home cooking most of the time to avoid this.:)

My other half and I very rarely eat this kind of meal not because we are snobs but because we like to cook and would rather make our own meals either from scratch or using the sauces with fresh meat. However friday night after work we did our weekly shop and decided to try the £5 meal offer

I have to say I was impressed - I had the sweet and sour and there was plenty of chicken, the rice was nice and the chicken spring rolls, we did cook them in the oven as I always think food tastes so much better when oven cooked compared to a microwave and I would buy it again as its a good offer for a quick meal and is much more MSE than ordering in.
