I've been noticing Arnold Clark cars with illegal fonts on the registration plates... but Arnold Clark just do anything they want.

bunneh, you could always contact the local constabulary and report 'Uncle Arnold' any car that they put out with 'non-legal' numberplates should be punishable, I'm pretty sure there is a law out there for the sellers of the car, especially if they are more than 3 yrs and they've put the car through the MOT and passed it!!

As for the other comments, doesn't a section 59 notice cover these matters, ie you get so many days to fix it and failure to do it, if stopped can result in the car being towed? I may be worng.

Also as many have said it is an MOT failure as per the BS rule, any MOT tester that puts a car through with them deserve to lose their right to carry out the tests, after all, if they let that slip, what else are they not checking??
Thanks to all the competition posters.

Maybe because it's a none safety issue that they don't "let slip", but merely exercise a little common sense;).

And as they always say, "we can only test the car as presented", ie, if the plates get changed before the test and again after, you've still got dodgy plates but a legal MOT;)
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed
