Like I said, I'm going senile.
Mind you, in my own defence, I was looking at it at silly o'clock last night.:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:

Ignore me, I think I'm going senile.
Just realised the motherboard comes with a metal adaptor plate so everything pokes through the back of the case as normal.
Hey rmg1, what do you mean ............... going:beer:

Hi guys.
Got all the parts and everything seems OK.
Think I've run into a bit of a snag, though.
I'm installing the CPU and I can't get the cover to go back flat without quite a bit of tension.
Is this normal or am I doing something wrong?
I've made sure the CPU is in the right way round and the right way up.:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:

No, this is just the CPU which sites under a little cover with the middle cut out.
There was a plastic plate in it when the mobo arrived so I've replaced that with the CPU.
I can get the cover back down but the tension lever sticks up and I don't want to break anything.
Btw, this is an Intel.:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:

I decided to go for a change and go Intel.
It's an Intel Core i5 2400 3.1GHz Socket LGA 1155 6MB L3 Cache to give the full title.:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:

So it looks like I've almost got to force it closed to put enough pressure onto the CPU for it to make a good contact?:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:
