Always remember, she can only kill you once!! ;)

very true, but i am sure she would find the most painful way to do it.

so far i havent found an arguement that hold water for her in the need to upgrade my system as she keeps on saying its only 2 years old and does everything we need it to, and my responses on the lines of it might do what you want it to but its still to slow for me doesnt make any difference to her thoughts ggggrrrr, women!

on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
    10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
    20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)

I had the same arguments over a new TV with my other half. You have my sympathy.

haha it already runs as a media server and it doesnt struggle so far,

unless i set it up doing some encoding, folding, streaming and gaming all at the same time then it might have a few issues.

although saying this she would probably just tell me to get a new hard drive for my system behind the TV and just move all my media onto that.

actually i wonder if i could push a overclock to make my system unstable, without frying any parts, and say something must be on the way out and that i need some new bits....

to be honest i am waiting to see the benchies and price on the bulldozer chips before i make up my mind on my next build, will also be interesting to see what intel do with sandybridge saying the benchies on that are showing that they can have performance close to the 1366 builds but at a much lower cost

    Not yet, daren't!!

I'll be doing that this weekend when there's no small child running around trying to "help" and wandering off with the screws and screwdriver trying to fasten the cat down.
