" I'll be doing that this weekend when . . . . " You mean when the suppliers are all closed/skeleton staff ?

edit. Don't forget DSR and any suppliers' terms like 7 Day D.O.A policy.

I always shop around always looking at Ebuyer, Scan, CCL, Aria, Novatech and Dabs at least. These are the big IT people closest to where the stuff is made! Check which has the best deals and buy from one or two of them for a new build and you can save Muchos! Hope this helps you save whilst making a big buy.

Quick question, will the usual AV and firewall programs (I currently use Avast and PCTools free firewall) run on Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium?
And what about my current 32-bit programs? Will they work as well?

yes very few programs have problems with windows 64 bit these days, although i would suggest so long as you use a router with hardware firewall that you just use the included windows firewall which is more than enough as a second line of defence and will probably use less resources than a third party firewall
    Drop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
    10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
    20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)

So I only need an AV then?
I am behind a router - it's a Belkin if that makes any difference.

I use microsoft security essentials - its free and fautless in my opinion. Made by microsoft to protect the microsoft OS... If any knows how the OS needs protecting, it must be the creator you would think :)
