I just couldn't eat for nervous tummy so i bought those slimming milkshakes to have now and again just so that I knew I'd be getting some nourishment. I'm not advising taking them, just saying that for me I couldn't eat so this made sure I had something.

I was the same, I couldn't eat as things wouldn't go down, I ended up having complan, and it was really yukky:eek: but knew I had to get something down me to carry on for the kids.

Not done anything since I got home, will try and make up for it tomorrow :D

    Evening everyone

I'm late posting again. I don't know where the day has gone. Went to craft club this morning, hadn't managed to go since Christmas. It was nice to see the ladies & the 1 gentleman who was
doing the most beautiful cross stitch picture I have ever seen.

Os today all floors cleaned, kitchen cleaned, wm & dw as usual. Lunch was ham salad sandwich & dinner was bacon & mushroom risotto done in the oven. Wood burning stove emptied & cleaned.

Niclou - enjoy your day with your sister & neices tomorrow.
Bitsy & Npm ((hugs)) to you both. Hope tomorrow is a better day for you.
Redruby - hope they sort out your dads assessment soon, thinking of you all.
Honeybee - well done on the job, whereabouts in Hertfordshire are you?
Candygirl - I think all men sulk to a certain extent, some just don't grow up.

To all the others who are poorly or down have a hug. Enjoy the rest of your evening. Take care

(not a churchy choir or gospel, its very modern and different)

just got home, ears are sore.... too many sopranos!

Anything to do with "Lace"?? ;)

Sorry to hear so many people feeling under the weather or having problems. Hugs to you all. It's a good job we've got Halight to look after us!! :j

Doing quite well on the OS front despite working all hours. Cooked a huge piece of gammon in the slow cooker on Monday (£2.50 bargain from Mr T at New Year ;) ) After a scrumptious meal with sliced potatoes, leeks & cauli in cheese sauce & peas, it's keeping us going for sarnies etc.

Salmon in parcels tonight & chicken korma prepared for tomorrow.

Wish I could keep on top of the housework but managing to keep the laundry pile down. At least I'm having a lot of NSD's as I've got no time to shop!!

Car insurance claim seems to have come to a halt until DS2 talks to them tomorrow. Poor lad he's not a boy racer & I know he feels really guilty for the upset he's caused. At least no-one was hurt.

    Take care everyone.

  • Grrrr  I'm not a happy bunny it looks like my washing machine is terminally died on me.I spoke to the technician tonight and after telling him the problem he said after a lot of teeth sucking 'Looks like you need a new one ducks '
I hate being called ducks as well,so it looks like even more belt tightening is on the way.Things just arn't made to last anymore I have had this machine for 6 years and I look after it with care. Its only used around twic a week sometimes less yet it had its chips as a long piece of rubber has arrived in the drum when I emptied it tonight and apparently its the 'spider' which holds the drum in place and it would be cheaper(glad he thinks so) to replace the machine rather than repair it.Just looked at the John Lewis site and it looks like it going to be around £270 odd to replace.Oh well I suppose I must stump up but things are a bit grey at JackieO Towers this evening.
Sorry to be such a grump.Plus DD is still awaiting results of her interviews. She's got another one tomorrow morning so I'm doing the school run with the boys ,they will soon put a smile back on my face
Night Night all God Bless all here

thats really crap. Is your current one a John Lewis? We have a John Lewis own brand washer and dishwasher, and weve had them for over 4 years, both are absolutely great appliances, and i wouldnt bother buying a big brand again tbh!

Sorry to hear about the washer - just when you think you're getting somewhere something like this happens!

John Lewis is my first choice nowadays. Their staff always seem pleased to serve you. A bit like M & S used to be :(
