Trying to get back on the straight and narrow diet wise after my slip yesterdayI have managed to keep to it-ish today though
Took some asprin just in case today and the kids have nagged me into getting checked out at the doctors tomorrow. ( I will see how I feel in the morning)
I have an appointment with the vascular surgeon next week so I will probably mention it to him then.

Halight - I have a good laugh when I read your posts. You certainly know how to cheer people up!
HoneyBee- well done you!
Nic1Lou2 - hope you have a really good day tomorrow. It'll do you such a lot of good. As others have said, make sure you look after yourself. I was such a skinny minnie when I split from Ex-H. I just couldn't eat for nervous tummy so i bought those slimming milkshakes to have now and again just so that I knew I'd be getting some nourishment. I'm not advising taking them, just saying that for me I couldn't eat so this made sure I had something.
Well...I remember now why I don't bake anymore...made a load of the fabulous Twinks tonight and I could scoff the lot:dance:. But...have texted DD and will give her a box with some tomorrow. Going to Glasgow to see DS in next day or 2 so if there are any left he will get those.
One good thing to come out of the baking session (you 'real' bakers will be laughing at me calling making a load of twinks a 'baking session':p) is that I am ROASTING hot and am sitting here in T shirt. However, I have to go out with the dogs in a minute so that will cool me down.
Hope your leg is ok ButterflyB.

Evening
Feedback on my interview from the girl at the agency is that they are 'dotting the i's etc & blah blah at their end but wouldn't commit to telling her whether I've got the job or not but she thinks there will be a decision by Friday. Personally I think the longer the decision is in coming the more likely I haven't got it. And that's fine - the girl from the agency rang and asked if she could put me forward for it rather than it being a job I seen and went for. Whatever will be and all that malarkly
This is what is currently occuring at the top of our road....

bl00min helicopters were out all last night....they are really noisy!
I have just made my first roasted butternut squash rissoto...in the slow cooker (I'm a bit scared of rice) and I have been checking on it and just caught it sticking to the bottom so I'm going to portion it up and freeze it for me - smells lovely
Candygirl - re the proposal....maybe you should just read your signature
Nic1 - I'm another thats been in your situation and I too can now look back and see that although at the time it was incredibly painful it was the best thing that could have happened. Stay strong - and remember this quote "Living well is the best revenge";)
x
PS have just finished my second week of eating well and going strong :TClimbing back on the OS wagon after a short vacation to Recklessness
