Hugs, hi fives and good luck all round for dates, interviews and general lifieness. OH is still alive, just - he ended up sleeping on the sofa as his cough started every time he lay down :o his choice, not mine! I don't think we've ever not slept in the bed together in the same house ever. It was very strange!

mrsrogers - Oooooh moroccan chicken sounds loverly do you have a receipe you could share ;)

Of course :j This is what I do for myself and DH expand as needed. Sorry if some of the measurements are a bit rough and ready.. its generally how I cook :D

My adaption of Moroccan Chicken :)

    2 x Chicken Legs / 3 x Thighs
    Onion sliced
    1/2 Red Pepper chopped
    4 Mushrooms chopped
    2 x clove Garlic chopped
    Tin Tomato
    1 x chicken stock cube
    Couple of Dried Apricots
    handful of sultanas
    Hand full of ref lentils
Butter Beans / Chickpeas as much as you like
tsp Dried Rosemary / Sprig of fresh
    tsp Dired cumin seeds
    tsp Turmeric
    1/2 cinnamon stick
optional : Coconut sachet (not authentic but still goes nice)

    Method
Seal Chicken in pan until brown on the out side. Once done put into slow cooker. Then take the veg and garlic and soften in the pan the chicken was browned in for a couple of min. Then add the spices and fry for a further min. Chuck in the tomato and everything else with the exception of the beans/ chick peas. Add approx cup full of hot water (this will be absorbed by lentils) throw in slow cooker low all day / high half a day add in beans / chick pea about 1/2 before serving. I find they go mushy if add in at the beginning.

    Hope you enjoy

Well I'm back at work after 4 days of being ill. I've just been lying on the sofa/bed moaning, sleeping, drinking tea and eating teacakes! On a plus side I've lost 5lbs in weight in a week!! Still ate all my points like normal (mainly in hot chocolate and the bf's sweets supply). Praise the lord for viral throat infections! I'm still not feeling great but much better than I was. I am however really worn out from going to work whereas before I wouldn't be so I think maybe I'm a bit weak.

I'm off out for dinner tonight with my friend and trying to be thrifty I printed all the vouchers for restaurants off here for us to choose from. I think it'll be Ask or Slug and Lettuce because I have 50% off vouchers for both of them. Got tricked into buying £12.50 worth of make up instead of my normal £4 worth because of No. 7 vouchers. So I got £22.50 worth of stuff but considering I ended up spending £8.50 more than normal on posh make up instead of budget it's not really a bargain! Did find that in Wilkos I can buy the candles I normally get for £3 in Sainsbury's for £1.50 which was good.

Good luck to the people with dates and interviews!!

good afternoon chums I have had a lovely couple of days with my friend from Dartford.Yesterday we went to craft in the afternoon and my lamb shanks were delicious .Enough left for a light supper tonight as all the left over veg I chucked into the left over gravy and when cool put into the fridge.Today we went to Dunelm and I spent some of my Christmas money on a new front doormat,(4.99)which was well overdue and a nice pair of pillowcases and pillows to match, also well overdue and at £20.00 for Dorma ones they wuill see me out I expect then we went to newnham Cout shopping outlet and my pal treated me to a lovely lasagne lunch as a pre birthday treat as she will be away next month when its my birthday.Came home and just watched a DVD and put our feet up for awhil and she has just left to hopefully beat the traffic home.Tomorrow I will put the finishing touches to my essay and take it in with me on Friday when I go to history class. All in all a very pleasant week.its rather damp and dreer hear at the moment but it almost the end of January so it won't be long before Spring is on the way. Hope everyone with poorly tums feel better soon there is an awful lots of tummy bugs around at the moment
    Have a good evening all
