    And quite rightly as well.

Can't believe you are advising violent and illegal behaviour !!!!

To quote your own words "what an absolutely stupid thing for you to post...."

Although a lot of people will tell you its not the way to go and it will not sort anything and you or you partner will get in trouble.....

By now Id have taken a bat to you neighbour...especially the trying to intimidate me with a car...sharp hard press on the brakes would have sorted that out...

You neighbour is a bully and the best way to deal with a bully is to stand up to them and teach them a lesson.

However you are likely to be arrested for hitting someone with a bat..

Ah, you sound like the dream neighbour.

"I complained about your dogs and you sorted it"
"You've driven too close and complained my telly is too loud"
"Right, I'm going to assault you with a baseball bat because you're bullying me"

Christ almighty, i feel as though im being put infront of a court room. Why am i having to explain to people exactly what happened step by step.

Our landlord is fussy - so doubt she would let us install one. Unless it's possible to get battery powered/wireless ones? I'll look into this today.

I was bathing my daughter, i heard the almighty bang on the window, got her out the bath, dried her as quick as i could and rushed downstairs. I'm hardly going to leave a 3 year old in the bath alone am i?!?!

If they had been round and we hadn't heard them, then surely they'd of caught us while we have been outside, as we see them every single day about 2-3 times?? or even posted a letter through??

We phoned one of the local police in our area today. They said that there's nothing the police can do anyway, they can't tell us to turn the tv down by law, if they want to persist with it they have to get the council involved. even then, if they decide it's not too loud there's nothing they can do either.

But regardless of that, we have turned it down as we said we would, so i expect that to be the last of it. Also made logs of everything for future reference.

Yes it is, and you can get them with a flashing light so you can choose to have the sounder off should you wish.

But, the original op's neighbours must work because the dog barks when they get up at 5am to go to work.
People have to learn to live with neighbours and their routines. My son's girlfriend gets up at 3.30am to go to work and my son at 4am, they have to let the dog out before they go to work (I've no idea if she barks). But on the other hand, they go to bed early, but they don't say to their neighbours "you can't have the TV on or the washing machine, or let your dog out after 9pm".
People should adapt more, or live in the middle of nowhere, where they can live in blissful peace.
    ML.

Unfortunately your son/sons gf work non standard hours (and are probably compensated somewhat because of that) as such they are the ones that make adjustments (or should). Is it fair that 20 neighbours suffer because 1 person has to get up at an unusual time?

Crickey, It was tongue in cheek you know.

Lets just look at the facts as we know them.

OP's neighbours washing machine knocks stuff of the wall in his house he asks him to move it he does.
OP's neighbours dog barks at 5.30am after neighbours leave for work. This wasnt sorted one of the neighbours stopped working...
OP's neighbour tries to intimidate neighbour acting agressively, not just in general but using a motor vehicle.
OP's TV is, in the words of Mr Plod 'a little louder than average' so OP's neighbour phones old bill.

Personally I think OP is being hard done by on here but as usual the bleeding hearts will feel sorry for the !!!!less, lazy and so called opressed minorities.

Yes hitting someone with a bat is a bad idea but having had neighbours fom hell in the past I know from personal experience how hard life can become.....especially with a 3 year old child in the house and car.

I know what it can make you contemplate doing, things you would never do under normal circumstances.

What the OP is going through may be the be all and end all of the situation but in my experience it is just the begining. Deal with it now and it doesnt get to the point were you have you car spat on and scratched or dog !!!! shoved through your letter box.

all of which incidentally are illegal!!!

So my comment my have been bad advice but until you know what the OP is going through dont be so quick to judge.

OP dont hit you neighbour with a bat.

    Use a wrench!

They didnt take kindly to your complaints so they called the police on you. They are trying to get you back. Had a neighbour like this. She let her kids run riot and come into our garden without permission, she illegally parked all the time, so we let her know.

She called the community support last summer and said we were looking up at her kitchen window while we were in the garden. Load of nonsense but it was her way of trying to get back at us.

We ignore her now you cant do business with !!!!!!. Just hope they move thats all you can do.

Sorry to hear this, nothing worse than falling out with neighbours. As sherlock advises, often the best approach to diffuse a potentially escalating situation is too talk to them as gentleman and ladies.

Our street (we are in the process of moving!) was fantastic for years. All houses privately owned and all neighbours got along great. A few years ago a couple of houses on the street got bought for the purposes of social housing. As is now largely expected, every tenant they have had has been inconsiderate, rude and generally unpleasant, they have no interest in maintaining their homes or even being reasonable. Lots of noise problems and so forth. They should just call a spade a spade and rename social housing to unsocial housing.

Lets hope your neighbours will be decent unlike the ones near us.
