He has filed an intention to defend those proceedings and help in drafting his defence is being given the Pepipoo experts. He purchased a ticket and has shown it to the claimants.
Their claim particulars say there was no ticket.
Looks a solid case for the defendant. He also chose to appeal to them showing them the ticket, which looks even stronger and makes their claim look silly.0 -

No one, that I am aware of, has suggested ignoring notification of court proceedings.
You can and should of course ignore private parking tickets.
No mis-information going at all.;)0 -
This has been discussed already somewhere.
As I see it the landowner via their PPC can designate and mark any space for the use of specific groups if they so choose.(It is after all their land)
If they put up the correct sign telling users of the space what the terms and conditions are (including any charges ) , then the space does indeed have some standing.
Whilst the blue badge scheme does not apply to private land per se ..if the owners of the land designate spaces for blue badge holders only then anyone not displaying one COULD be held to be in breach of contract.
Theoretically the landowner can designate a space for red cars only if they wish and as long as they sign it as such the same logic follows..
Such designations could of course, in some cases, be seen as discriminatory, such as "blue badge spaces" in a privately owned car park, e.g. in a retail outlet.0 -

Not sure I quite get this - or would be even asking on a website which seems to operate in a cultish fashion akin to the Moonies.
Are you suggesting that by designating spaces for disabled drivers the landlord is being discriminatory against able-bodied drivers?0 -

No, only allocating disabled spaces to blue-badge holders. This is discrimination against those disabled people who do not hold blue badges. This problem was even recognized by the Mayor Of London's Office:-
The DDA 1995 requires reasonable adjustments to be made for any disabled person who is disadvantaged by an employer’s or a service provider’s arrangements because of their disability. In this report we have assumed that any disabled people who are disadvantaged by parking arrangements are Blue Badge holders, and so can use Blue Badge spaces, but this may not be the case and therefore, technically, employers and service providers who provide parking solely for Blue Badge holders may still be in breach of the DDAWhat part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -

I haven't seen anyone, fluffy bunnies or otherwise. say that you should ignore legal proceedings. I think it is you who is misinformed.
The advice is to ignore Private Parking Notices if you receive one.
The answer is to never enter into any correspondence as it confirms your address.
If the letter came from "Graham White Solicitors" there are problems for them - not you.
Ignore anything unless you are actually sent a claim by the court - not a threat of a claim. If they do so you then file a defence which costs you nothing.
The court is the first place you will get a fair hearing.0 -
In that case can I be permitted a (very uncharacteristic) Daily Mail "Aaargh"
Unless there is some qualification how is anyone supposed to decide who has a disability (and hence is permitted to park in a disabled space) or not?
This is becoming very much like a David Lynch film...0 -

Bizarrely I wrote that advice word-for-word in 2007 and to have it quoted back to me now by some clown who routinely slags off a mate is borderline unbearable.0 -

Can't recall slagging anyone off. I don't know who your mates are?
Why am I a clown? Isn't that slagging someone off or is it different if you fire off the insults? e.g fluffy bunnies,cult,moonies,clown.0 -

That was 4 years ago.
No-one can be expected to have read it or remembered it.
In any case where did you write it, and why do you expect we have searched the libraries for all your wise words? (If you wrote it here, why you now using an AE? Were you banned for coming here touting for business or are you really LBC in disguise?)0
