Original post updated with names etc. I thought that adding budgets might be too much - partly just cos it'll make the post a bit crowded and difficult to read, but also because I think it's putting the focus on the wrong thing - being MSE isn't necessarily about how much you spend, after all! Plus, if someone goes over budget or needs to change it for any reason, the last thing they'll want is to see their target listed in black and white for all to see!! You can state your budget if you like (I have somewhere!), but I won't include it on the original post.
I quite like knowing names and general locations though, it makes it all a bit more friendly!

I was thinking putting an extra post under the one you started with the names and dates in, putting the info in ppl have put about themselves, but dont even know if its possible to stick another post under that! And probably get too big like you say. What about making all ppls names and dates in bold where you have already put them in the first post, and then adding the details in next to each one, prob main info to include would be name, age, where getting married and budget??
Crossed posts Nat!
You can't insert additional posts under the first one, as all new posts automatically get put at the end, but the first post can be updated.
Might be able to add ages though - now that I have updated the first post, do you ladies think that I could add that, or would that be too much?

For me, I think the budget thing was for new members of the thread, just to show them what the different budgets were, and what kind of weddings we were having with the budget etc...not important though. But having few details bout each person on its own just gives the thread more personality, and a feel for each person, good idea Tracy!0 -
Thanks Jemma!
I may well be picking your brains for Honeymoon ideas at some point.
Actually, come to think of it, it would be fab if you could let us know what places are good to travel to in September in terms of best weather, cost etc. Is there any way you could post a list for us? Doesn't have to be straight away, but maybe in the next few months or so when you have some spare time! It's really difficult to know where to look, and when I've looked online I've sometimes had conflicting information so I'm a little bit confused!!
Thanks!

I might be bugging you a little nearer the time for cake-making tips - we want three different flavours and it will probably be used for dessert. We also have a guest who is a coeliac so I'm looking for gluten-free recipes - at least for one tier! I've eaten cakes made with gluten free flour and they were a little bleurgh, so want a flour-free recipe rather than a normal recipe where I substitute normal flour - at the moment I'm thinking of lemon polenta cake, which is yummy!
Saw your blog, btw - the cakes were amazing! LMAO at your son hiding his food, although I doubt you did at the time...

PMSL, thanks for reading my blog Fiona
Its nice to know im not writing for nothing!!
lol no, he got sent to bed...i had gravy n leeks splashed up my wall from his sunday roast too that i didnt notice till the veg lasagne incident! LOL
Ive made on gluten free cake before, and she gave me the name of a gluten free flour which i got from tesco. I never get to taste the cakes obviously, but she was thrilled with it! The only think i can think of, is if you dont use flour it isnt going to rise very much? to say im a baker i rarely get asked for things like that so havent tested them out. mmm im a fan of lemon cake.....the only thing that smells better than a cake baking, is a lemon cake bakingyummy!!
I havent had any for a LONG time though as since having my daughter i suddenly cant have milk, cream, certain cheeses, butter etc, and my own cakes give me stomach ache LOL if i buy cheap cakes pumped with E numbers im not too bad though.....mostly because they use powder cake mix, whereas i make all mine from scratch and cant have the margarine!
but if you need help with tiering them, covering them etc, i can help with that LOL:dance:
