Lioness131- What's the inspiration behind your screen name? I LOVE LIONS... hence the wedding at Chester zoo. My house is completely full of lion things, recently I bit the bullet and decided I just had too many lions so gave lots to charity... I counted all of the stuffed lions i'd been given over the years and i had 122!!! Managed to cut it down to 30 and they now fit quite comfortably on a little shelf... and there are plenty of charity shops with lion displays in Leek now!
Its not a very exciting story!! Just happened that the same night I had to pick a signon name OH called his lioness (I can not believe I just typed that!!) and so that is what I called myself!! I have a friend who is obsessed with pigs so I can just imagine all the lions you have!! I love the idea of getting married in the zoo, wish our local one did that!! But as I have all booked now it doesnt matter!0 -
Hi! I'm brand new to the site and this is my first post... just saw this thread - perfect! I'm getting married 15th September next year. Congratulations to all the rest of you!!!
I wonder if anyone can help. I'm looking for some relatively cheap flower girl dresses but can't really find anything under £40 which is a bit dear to me!! All I want is a simple white dress that can be bought in size 2-3 and 6-7. I note Asda were doing wedding gear last year but don't seem to be anymore.
Any ideas??

xAbout three things I was absolutely positive. First, Edward was a vampire. Second, there was a part of him - and I didn't know how dominant that part might be - that thirsted for my blood. And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him. :A

Hi Sami - have you tried BHS?x0
-
And congratulations too!!0

LOL Thanks Groovyfox. I did consider BHS but they start at £40
I've actually doing some lovely dresses with purple sashes on Ebay for £30 each. I don't think I'm gonna get any better than that really? Perhaps i shoud just get them. Problem is, I make rash decisions then regret them. Maybe I'll wait a while... but then they might be gone! Grrr. I'm rubbish...

Hello to samileo and groovy fox.
Samileo have you had a look at other childrens dress that may match you colur scheme also try the charity shops bridal wear or ebay or a site called preloved (haven't brought clothes of the internet but others on here have and there are threads on here which tell you the pitfalls and offer great advise) also see if any get reduced in the sales also look out for loopholes such as opening up a store card which entiles you to discount then paying it off straight away and cancelling it with it the giving time.:kisses3: Married 29th September 20120 -
hi samileo I'm quite good at finding bargains but I'm in bed on my fone now so can u wait til 2moro an I'm sure i can find u somethingI am not bossy I just have better ideas:p0

Hey Sami - how about getting some pretty non-wedding related dresses and adding cutes little extras yourself - like sashes, fabric flowers, sequins etc? Otherwise, I know Monsoon can be really expensive but they have a sale on right now with an extra 20% off today until Saturday. Only thing is I don't know if kids clothes are included in the sale...
As White is usually a summery colour, maybe you could get a bargain when the sales begin properly? No doubt BhS and Debenhams will reduce something at some point! X0 -
Welcome and congratulations Samileo! :hello:
I second groovyfox's idea - have a look at plain white summer dresses and maybe add a sash or something to them. You've got a while yet, so don't panic!
