Hi Girls!
Im back from blackpool and had abit to catch up on, even though there have only been a few posts its hard to figure out who did what!? LOL
Jo...was it you who got the bridesmaids dresses from debenhams? did you get them to try them on? if so did they like them?
i went to a NEXT outlet store and found some lovely lipsy dresses in the right purple, one shoulder with a rose on it, and ruched detail, £30 each! i resisted though as i havent even asked my other bridesmaid yet and dont know whether she would prefer a long or short dress LOL
also went ring shopping....we may be either argos, or tesco LOL cheap enough for what we need them for as i wont be able to wear mine, and within our budget so hoping to have a proper look soon.
I now have a spreadsheet courtesy of my admin !!!!! (the other half lol) and can see at a glance how much i have spent, and how much is left to pay etc......so far so good!
I have the inks for my 'guestbook tree' sorted, just need somewhere that can print out a3 sheets!?!
and im currently trying to decide on my invites! im so indecisive and i cant choose between the two mock up designs...they are very similar but still!!
i just feel like i want to get stuff sorted but things are holding me back!
roll on the 19th September when we go back to the venue! LOL
how is everyone else?! x:dance:

Hi!!
I'm new to the thread, We get married on 6th september 2012. Feel like time is slipping by verrrry quick since its almost exactly a year till the day!!
We are actually getting married in Kos, Greece with around 30 guests coming with us. We get married at 6.30pm on the beach which is attached to our all inclusive resort. We will then go on to a lovley little restaurant for a buffet and a bit of dancing!
We can't wait. We have been together 5 and a half years.
xxon the road to recovery..:o0 -
Hi katydo12! I already have you down for the 6th, so you must be earlier in the thread somewhere! I've taken the TBC off your entry, congratulations on finalising the date!! Sounds like you will have a lovely intimate wedding.
Time is going by very quickly indeed; I first contacted the council about having a date pencilled in in March, and was told to call back a year before the date as they won't do anything before that. That only feels like a few weeks ago but six months have gone by!
Well done on the spreadsheet Tracey; we've got one too but it needs updating, and looking at it makes me worry about how on earth we're going to raise enough money!Marrying my lovely man on 1st September 2012

Samileo- Can I be really nosey and ask where you're staying in wales? We're looking for ideas for the minute because we can't go abroad for our honeymoon (boyfriend goes back to uni a few days after the wedding
)
Thank you x0 -

Well, I have just got off the phone to the council where I have booked an appointment to give notice (we actually get legally married a day before our wedding, so a year today). The appointment is on 2nd November - apparently they're very busy!!
And tomorrow is our Tissue Paper Anniversary! :j:j:j We decided that the minus 1st anniversary deserved a nameI now have to find something to give him made of tissue paper.... We're even treating ourselves to a cocktail in a bar - can't wait!!
Hope you're all well x

Woohoo!!!
In one year's time I'll be a perfectly calm bride, casually eating breakfast while preparing for my day.......
:rotfl:
Or, I'll be exhausted, feeling too nervous to eat, trying to get a load of things done that should have been done weeks ago and panicking that something's been forgotten.
No, the first one. Definitely.

I've managed to keep my fiance Rachel clear of this forum for 2 whole years whilst we/(more she) has been planning our wedding.
But I just wanted to drop by and say hi, and good luck to all those planning for next September. Ours in on Saturday!!!!
We've had some ups and downs along the way, our initial venue went bust, which turned into a blessing in disguise since the venue we found since is absolutely amazing (Nunsmere Hall in Nantwich). Our Rev also advised us 4 months ago that our Church will be covered in scaffolding since the fundraising they had been running for 2 years had finally achieved it's target to pay for renovation. We were gutted since not only would this impact on the photos, but the bells couldn't be rung which is a major part of our day. This morning we've had an email from the Rev (how unnatural does that seem?!) to say the work has been delayed a week, the scaffolding wont be up AND we CAN have the bells rung!! Someone up there must be smiling down on us!
Anyway, my point is, whatever stresses you face along the way, grin and bear it, everything happens for a reason, and despite what you might think, it will STILL be the most important day of your life. Remember, it's not all the detail that makes the day, it's who you're stood next to.
Good luck and God Bless.

Ive never had a spreadsheet for anything before and im actually loving it LOL hes set it so it shows me the budget what we have, how much we have spent, and how much we still roughly need to pay. I love adding little things to it when its been bought
