  • Thank you Ady! :) And you're right about the phrase 'had an email from the rev' sounding wrong somehow! Best of luck to you and Rachel for your wedding and the future, I'm glad it has all worked out for the best!

Fawny - yay, more orange! I think that's three of us now :D Mine's more a soft tangerine, heading towards peach kind of shade though.

Tracey, can you post a piccie of the two invite designs and we'll give our opinion? Pretty please? :D

  • OK here goes....

They are VERY rough designs (that rough because they have been torn apart and shifter about so much that they have torn/come unstuck etc!) LOL

The first one has white elephants. I wont be using purple glitter card...its the closest purple we had to hand at the time!
Also will be using different hearts and a slightly different shade of green for the ribbon:

second one is mainly purple, and again will have a heart on, (the green gems from the first one) and purple elephants (not white ones coloured in with a purple pen LOL)

BOTH will have some sort of wording on them near the bottom to say either 'wedding', 'invite' or 'love' etc probably on a cut out rectangle and stuck on

  • Happy Paper Tissue Anniversary Fiona! Have a great day!
  • nutty i like the first one best x
I am not bossy I just have better ideas:p
  • I also prefer the first one. I would just say one thing though, and please feel free to ignore me completely - I would put the green gems somewhere else - somehow they don't look like part of the overall design to me, IYSWIM. I personally think they would look better more centrally placed, perhaps near the wording (at opposite corners, perhaps)?

That is just my personal thought though, if I were to be reeeeeaaaallly picky. My first thought was 'aww, sweet elephants, love the colours!'

    Thanks Fiona.
These two designs are a million miles away from my original design. We did 3 quick mock ups and my original design just looked so boring and plain next to these two. On the first one the green ribbon originally ran vertically down the white centre card so the gems looked ok with it streamlined.....but then i moved the ribbon LOL

My colours are deep purple, green and deep orange, though i cant really see a way to introduce the orange without it looking to over the top, so stuck with 2 colours.

hmmm i just dont know....i dont know whether ive changed my mind completely now and want something else??....LOL told you.....totally indecisive! LOL

  • also what are your opinions on the scalloped circles? I cant decide if it looks too old fashioned...but normal circles didnt have that much of an effect?!

i also want to try rounded edges on the card, and on the layered card....but how do i do this without manually cutting each one with scissors?

You can buy a round corner cutter - I know Catherine bought one for her bunting - I'll ask her where she got it and get back to you!

Love the design, by the way!
