That's gorgeous - so unusual! Are you having a shaped wedding ring?

Hello,
Wow Nuttymummy the finger print pics look lovely & a great alternative to a guest book.
Hope everyone is all well.Married the man of my dreams - 10th September 2012, St Paul's Bay Lindos :jIt was amazing.0 -
What a beautiful and unusual ring - it's lovely!0

lovely ring! very unusual
Fawny, i really like them as i can frame it and hang it in the house (aswell as use it to remind OH of the anniversary date LOL)
But part of me wants some sort of guestbook ASWELL!
i think the fingerprints are nice to frame. But i also want messages too if that makes sense?
I think i will just have cards to write out and seal in envelopes (along with a letter from me to OH and vise versa) and seal it till our first anniversary and read them all then.
And then on our first anniversary write another letter to each other put in a bottle of wine (or whatever) and seal it till our second anniversary....and keep going like that every year! LOL

Hello lovely brides!
Thought I'd join the site as a newbie - our wedding is also September 2012 - eeeeee, I'm excited! So far we have the venue and photographer booked, I have my dress AND my wedding ring! Would love some inspiration on colour schemes as I'm having a mental block and need a little nudge to help me on my way... Our venue is Haigh Hall and the room we're in has quite dark red walls and a carpet of a similar colour. My dress is ivory and would love light colours in our scheme but worried about them getting washed out against the dark decor... Any ideas anyone?
Thanks in advance, would love to share crafty ideas with the other lovely people on here.
Good luck with all your planning!!0 -
hi groovyfox
what about dusky pink and green?

Welcome groovyfox! Lookingforward to hearing all your plans.
As for colour, dusky pink would be good, or pale blue or yellow.

Thank you ladies! That peach and green scheme looks fab, was originally thinking of the pink theme but was afraid of it being overpowered by the dark colours of the room.
Just a tip for anyone in the North West - if you don't mind having a second hand wedding ring, there's a little jewellery shop in the shopping centre in Culcheth - it's where I got mine from and it was really inexpensive :-)0 -
Scotsbride - Hope you've got your colours sorted...it's a fine line to tread but it is your day and whenever I've been a BM I've always been happy to go with my chum's choice.
After the eighty thick pink and white candy stripped and eighty hair might have something to do with my sisters fears!
So fare I come up with these https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3443743
Congrats on sorting the wedding insurance from Debenhams...I have booked a lot and just thought if worst happens would rather spend £50 and not lose out on so much.
Fawny - the passports sound cool
Natc - Amazing news about venue what a relief now the planning can really get going. Sounds perfect LOVE the fact you criedAlso love those shoes what a bargain! My chum had shoes from Next they were so comfy she forgot to change into her flats at night!
I totally to this
Saintly - That sounds like crap service in the shops you've been in so farthe last shop I went to (the winners) could not have been more helpful...others have been SO snooty so I'm super glad they had THE DRESS! Also your invites are amazing wow really really beautiful well done! I have gone much more simplistic
We are a truly crafty bunch! Well I'm not but I am going to give it a good go!! Well done ladies just think not long and we will all be starting to say LESS THAN A YEAR TO GO

Hey ladies managing to sneak on mid week unheard of usually so busy!
Love the tree etc. Tracey I bought my guest book AGES ago...crazy...but I just loved it and it was only £10! I think I need to go and actually organise all the bits and bobs I have...they are spread all over the flat.
This week I by accident found bridesmaid dresses. If you google brown halterneck hopefully they will come up. From debs in the sale only £68...so have bought them and will get the girls to try on. If they don't suit I'm hoping at least we'll be happy with the colour.
Emmylou love the ring very pretty you must be pleased with it.
Welcome groovyfox! Just have a surf about on wedding sites for colour scheme's and it will just come to you if that makes sense. We are kind of going for autumnal colours like brown/orangey type colours but not going to stick to it too formally...
I'm just looking at brollies....need to STOP! Already seen a veil, a headpiece and a hoop that I want to buy....my dress is not ordered yet!!!
Hope you are all loverly loverly!
