I'm having the opposite problem to last minute drop outs- OHs step brother who has been travelling for the past 18 months and said he definitely 100% would not be back home for the wedding has decided he'll be back home next week and wants to know if he and his girlfriend can come. I'd literally just finished making my seating plan when OHs mum rang to ask if they could come (he's not got in contact with us himself!). It's not really an issue to add 2 extras to the guest list....I just don't want to have to re-do my seating plan!

I'd leave it, and just tell them you're on table x. We did our seating plan on Saturday, and on Sunday two people pulled out. Tough poo! It's done and dusted, took hours and I'm not changing it.
I'm STILL waiting for my name and table name cards :( going to go mad if not here tomo. They were sent first class on Friday so really should have been here on Saturday, with bank holiday, today. So thinking last resort tomorrow. Have really not got time to make 70 cards, wanted to have a massage and be pampered on Saturday whilst fianc! is at footie but at this rate I'll be slaving away!

    Morning All,

Well this time next week we will be on the plane heading for the sun:j:j

Love your sign Roz very pretty & the seed favours are great, will be lovely for people to plant them & remember your wedding when they are in flower:D

Sainty - Hope the dress fitting went well.

Have you found your photographer Tilly, I hope so! Sorry to hear people are pullling out at the last minute, not very nice:(

Hi Ghawdon, hope you get OH ring sorted out & the last dress fittings go well.

nene - how was the hen do, hope it was fun:D

Welcome Fyggy  & hello day Dreamer too

Part Mouse - i'm hoping you are feeling a litle bit better & you are getting sorted.

Catherine you really are on a roll with all the stationary & it all looks lovely:D

katie, hope your name cards have turned up now, fingers crossed they have & ou can have your pamper session & not have to be making them.

I'm just sorting final bits out now, OH has finally decided to get on with writing his vows & thinking about his speach as i've seen him joting things down & typing & keep getting told to go away or having to have conversations through a closed door :rotfl:
Married the man of my dreams - 10th September 2012, St Paul's Bay Lindos :jIt was amazing.

I haven't had it yet fawny. It's this weekend. Still have no idea what i'm doing. But I'm still looking for a Black & Gold dress/outfit to wear.

One of my bridesmaids has turned round yesterday and said she doesn't fit into her dress so will have to wear the non matching one. So now i have 2 flower girls in 1 dress, 2 bridesmaids in 1 dress and another bridesmaid in another dress. I really want them all to wear the same dress to make the photos look good, but I just don't want to cause friction between us as she says she'll just step down and be a guest instead so I've just said do whatever. To be honest now, then only thing that matters is I marry my OH. Everyone else can turn up in bin bags for all i care.

Really have to start making the flowers for the cake. I'm so lazy, i really am!

This is still my to do list:

    1. Make Cake
    2. Start making Roses
    3. Write Speech
    4. Get baby wipes for the ink & sort out a bin
    5. Pay Photographer
    6. Get dresses fitted and taken out.
    7. Get Bridesmaid shoes & Cardigans

and only 17 days left

The list is not too long Nene, stop been so lazy & get on with it:rotfl: Ok enjoy your hen weekend then this weekend:D I wonder how long your BM has known the dress won't fit? Is it because she has put on weight? thats not very fair of her.

    Hello fellow Mrs-to-be's & Mr's-to-be too!

Part mouse - I think you've infected me. I'm all flu'y, though I have a fortnight before the big day so I'll be fine by then.

Drop outs? We've had those, but luckily we had underestimated our numbers considerably - invited 145 (OH is N.Irish) and signed contract for 100. We're currently at 95 adults, 15 children. I've been doing our final table plan today, but expecting 2 people not to make it, but they seem set on not bothering to let us know. I have two lined up to step in, so should be no food wasted.

It's bills bills bills time at the mo! Found out today that our florist doesn't take cards in any way, only cash/cheque/bank transfer. Bit annoying as I'd planned to pay her using 0% CC we've just got, and perfectly fits the limit. She doesn't do paypal either which would be another solution. Sigh. Overdraft with it's rubbish rates shall have to cover it :-/

Our stationary is going to print next week. And the transfers for our favours (I shall post a photo of these - very different indeed haha) will be arriving next week too. I finish work Thursday am after 3 nights for the wedding (15th), so I'll have nearly 4 weeks off. Cannot wait! Roll on honeymoon!!

Our friends & neighbours have kindly said they'll give up their flat for the few days before the wedding for my future Mother & Father & Sister in laws to stay in, rather than paying for a hotel across the road. How lovely is that? Plus it'll be great having them 3 doors down and on hand. His Mum is such a Mum-mum - cooks, bakes (making our wedding cake), sews etc, all the things that are 'typical' woman duties that I (& my Mum) cannot do. OH does all the sewing fixes, cooking, baking etc, whilst I do the finances, organising, planning and any telephone calls etc. Today's modern roles eh? :)

Anyway, I am going off on a tangent. Feeling stressed like most of you, but like Nene, my hen is this weekend, so that promises to be a lovely relaxing time. Hurrah

    Take care brides/grooms :)

My name cards are here! Yay!
My fianc! is also doing his speech... Being very secretive which I hate! And the best man has sent him his speech for him to read... Surely that's not on? I got a bit snotty about it cos I wasn't allowed to read it, but what difference am I to the groom? It's like my mum telling me what's in her speech! Grrrr!
I really have nothing left to do now, I feel sad lol
