Not sure whether to have them loose (worried about people eating them :rotfl: ) or in little grip bags with a message... I have all the stuff for the labels so I'll have a play and see what they look like,
I also need to get hold of a guillotine to make the seed matchbooks for the wedding breakfast guests (I've printed the template and have the seeds, just need to assemble them) as I cannot cut in a straight line to save my life! :rotfl:
1 month on Wednesday :eek:Having a bit of a panic... Ordered and paid for the name cards and table name cards on 17th July and heard nothing back. This lady made our day and evening invites, and order of services and although they took about a month to arrive and I know it's not 17th August yet, I've emailed her twice and had I reply. She is normally very prompt at replying... She may have jus gone on holiday but it's cutting it a bit fine with my cards, especially if I need to find some different ones! I don't have a telephone number for her either, just email. Is really starting to worry me now
On the plus side, we have finally chose our first dance! Lol x
Hi Katie, i'm sue it will be fine & she is just having a few days off, I assume you have tried searching for a phone number for her?
I'm picking up my dress this weekend, can't wait to try it on & see what it's like finished:jI hope I like it:rotfl:Married the man of my dreams - 10th September 2012, St Paul's Bay Lindos :jIt was amazing.0 -
Yeah I have tried. I'm trying not to panic, just a bit of a worry! You know the feeling when you want everything perfect and done... that's what I had lol!
How exciting picking up your dress! I've just taken mine out of the bag to get the creases out... I hope it works!Married my wonderful husband on 8/9/12 :j0 -
Katie, hang the dress in the bathroom whilst you have a hot bath/shower - that'll help get rid of any creases
(just make sure your OH isn't about
). What first dance have you chosen?
Ooh Fawny, how exciting about your dress - I must ring my seamstress tomorrow and find out when I can collect mine
If the bath bombs are already sealed in cling film I may not bother with the bags, will see when they arrive - hopefully tomorrow/Thursday, I had an email from the seller today to say they'd finished making them and had posted them out0 -
Well we went through my fiance's whole itunes... Which consists of like 1500 songs. It took absolutely ages! We have songs that mean something to us but they were just too fast for a first dance (the sort of first dance we want anyways!) And even when we found acoustic versions of them, they just weren't the same. So we have gone with Bryan Adams - Heaven. It is a bit soppy for us but it is such a lovely song. We are quite young, and having just googled it, we weren't even born when the song came out haha!Married my wonderful husband on 8/9/12 :j0

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't been on here for a while; I've been avoiding things a little, and couldn't quite bring myself to see how organised everyone else is!! Back now though, and feeling a lot better about things after a somewhat panicky couple of weeks. Luckily H2B has been a complete rock and general paragon of calm throughout, so I've definitely picked a good 'un
Whether he can say the same is up for debate though...
Only had a quick scan through the latest posts, but glad to hear that Catherine is on the mend; best of luck for your exam next week!
Everyone else seems to be getting on very well with things; Katie, I hope you hear back about the name cards very soon. If the worst comes to the worst could you rope in a crafty friend to DIY them for you?
I've managed to buy most of the stuff for the favours now, so will be going to my parents' house on Friday to do them and the buttonholes & corsages. We've also found a flower wholesaler who can get sweet peas for us, as this has officially been the worst year for sweet peas EVER, and my parents and I have not been able to grow enough to make two bouquets!
We're also in the middle of moving house; we have burly men coming round tomorrow to move the furniture, so I am typing this amidst a sea of boxes and piles of random junk! We still have a little while to move out of the flat completely, so there's not loads of pressure to get everything shifted and cleaned in a short space of time, thankfully!! Just need to timetable it in around final wedding planning and work - not sure when I'm supposed to actually sleep though...!!
Oh god, only 18 days to go...I think I need a drink...Marrying my lovely man on 1st September 2012

Yeah I think I will do them myself with my best friend and mum if I don't hear anything back. Just seems a bit odd, it's probs her busiest time so don't get why she'd go on holiday, or why she wouldn't say. Hoping it's nothing to worry about and I'll hear from her soon. I'm going to give it until next weekend which is two weeks until the wedding and then I'll start the major craft job! Only 72 name cards and 8 table names to do.....
Good luck with the move! We are currently decorating our house.. We still don't have carpets in all of the rooms or the landing and have people staying at our house for the wedding in 3 weeks... till have one bedroom to paint and got all the skirting boards to gloss and also need to paint up the stairs and the landing... And we need to buy another bed! ARGH!Married my wonderful husband on 8/9/12 :j0 -

Our To-Do list is still crazy-long!
Make orders of service – get them printed_ done a brief one with the invites spoken to brother who recently got married and he said not to stress about it so not doing a more detailed one.
Cut up table cloths_ need to sort
Get pens and basket forpens for guest tree_ still to do
Prepare boxes for cofetti cones and get confetti
Dress fittings_ 1 more to go
collect key for reception
give timing list to suppliers and do timing list
Confirm set shots with photographer
tell dad what suit shirt and tie to wear
Organise a clean up party (have to be out by 12 on Saturday!)- family already moaning the fact about this I'll stand there in marigolds or with a t-towel if needs be.
Pick up dress
Decorate hall
Nails/eyebrows
Sleep would be good
Get Married!:kisses3: Married 29th September 20120 -
I found it easier to work backwards from the time of the ceremony when doing the timings
Just a quick post to say i just finished making my bouquetill post a pic when I'm at the pc
I am not bossy I just have better ideas:p0 -
Morning All,
3 weeks today & I will be on the plane:j:j
Katie - hope your name cards arrive in time & you don't have to do a mad diy session. I really like Bryan Adam so love your first dance song, unfortunatly OH doesn't & had crossed off his songs from my song list for the boat.
Roz - hope the bath bombs are great, they sound lovely & probably smell almost good enough to eat by the sounds of it:rotfl:
Scotbride, good luck with the hair trial. Are you doing your own makeup on the day, i'm starting to wish I was having it done as worried it just won't be right:(
Fiona - good luck with the move hope it all goes well. I hope your dress is nearly done & you have had no more problems. Have fun making the favours.
I really must sit down & write my vows, keep nagging H2B about his but not done mine yet:o he is been really sweet at the moment, he was upset last night as his car windscreen has cracked & it's £100 excess on his insurance. Turns out he was going to treat me next week & take us out for a really lovely meal just because he wanted to & now he won' be able to, so was upset - bless him.
On a good note I found a lovely number to wear on our wedding night from Debenhams for only £20, it arrive yesterday & looks lovely. I ordered a garter on ebay on Sunday so hopefully that will be here today too:j
Right must do some work before the boss catches me :rotfl:Married the man of my dreams - 10th September 2012, St Paul's Bay Lindos :jIt was amazing.0
