Really keen on getting the mara de bois. But £14 for 12 plants tis a bit much.

To be honest I only need 1 plant and then there'll be plenty of runners from these. Anyone got a spare plant going? I dont mind paying about £3 for 1 plant. :money:

  • Alternatively, they've got Royal Sovereign 12 for £2.95 which is a bargain! What is this variety like for taste? I did buy some Honeyoye from Wilkinsons but have since read bad things about this variety and don't want to be disappointed. Luckily I only bought 3 of these

these still arent getting delivered from MR F, mines been awol for weeks:(

That's terrible. They should be given refunds! Will it be too late to plant them at this time of year?

I ordered on the 11th March and got them at the end of March. Mine have started to flower

thats what i was worried about tbh and i emailed suttons about the ones o ordered from them and asked if they would be ok and they just said they expect to dispatch next week.
I would have got from garden centre if i knew it was going to take forever and now it looks like no strawberrys for the kids...majorly gutted tbh as really trying to make an effort this year and got my stackable strawberry planter ready with no plants:o

The bad news is you really should have got them in before the end of april to allow the optimum plant growth.
The good news is you wouldnt have got much of a crop this year anyway. Years 2 and 3 is when they are bountiful.
The best time to plant strawbs IMHO is autumn.

my mara des bois from ken muir are fantastic. I only received them a month ago and they have settled so well. What a bargain those runners were. In utter contrast, I received 15 slimy pathetic plants from chris bowers and I paid top price for them thinking I would be receiving 15 fantastic pot ready plants. They were the worst plants I have ever received by post from anyone. Anyway I`ll skim over the fact that customer service were disgustingly nasty, I got a refund. I put all the plants in the soil and there are tiny signs of life from 3 from 15.

Cootambear, shall I persist with them or am I risking disease? Should I take the lot out and start with a clean slate by getting plants from ken muir? Your advice would be welcome
