Tell a lie, I just got mine
I thought 12 strawberry plants would look like a bit more than this!
Is this how yours looked, Any? I'm going to try them and see what happens but I think the Mara de Bois looked better than this

yes, mine looked exactly like that. In many ways its better they look like that than store bought which are all leafy - pampered in greenhouses - then collapse at the first frost.

THEY WILL BE FINE :) Plant in a sunny spot, water, they will come good.

Yep I agree. My pal gave me some off his friends allotment that looked similar if not worse than that. I didn't know if i was wasting my time planting them up but two weeks on my decking in containers full of good compost & they are looking really healthy with new bright green leaves.:D

Only 2 of mine had leaves and those were looking similarly. I think those will make it. Put it in the water as per instructions and those looked better within half an hour. The other ones didn't have leaves or very stumpy little tiny things and those were completely dry..
    I still planted them though!

    How are they doing?

A week and a half later and mine (all 13 of them - they gave me one extra!) are looking great.

How can strawberries throw off runners in winter? All strawberries are dormant from mid autumn until spring.
