fatboyonadiet wrote:I sent a laptop abroad with them, used a discount code and Quidco, can't argue with price but customer service is a bit lacking. Item got there fine but a courier turned up one day to collect it and another the next, I was panicking but no response to e-mail and no joy on phones either, maybe because it was 5.16pm!
I like the way their automated system for checking on a possible failed pick up says you have to wait till 5.30pm has passed before contacting customer service about it and customer service closes at 5 or 5.15pm......very clever.
Used them about a dozen times then had 3 consecutive failed pick ups....appalling customer service, couldn’t care less attitude..took them to court and they settled beforehand. If you are willing to take the risk for a couple of pounds saving then good luck to you. Me, I would prefer a not to add to the grey hairs I’m already propagating.0 -

I want to list a large item on ebay but before I do it I need to cost the P&P....has anyone used this courier service? They seem very cheap.
Thanks in advance
I used them loads but I had a bad experience with them so stopped using them. It was just they didn't pick up a parcel as booked twice in a row. They are just a booking 'agent' as the courier is actually DHL or was last time I used them! There's a few on ebay if you do a search that do the same thing. You usually get better rates than going direct to a courier as these booking 'agents' must use the courier firms in bulk.0 -

Just read your post and snap although mine was 2 consecutive pick-ups. I got the impression they run with few staff and didn't care. I didn't take to court but I won't use again after I wrote to complain and got nothing back.0 -
Update on my Parcelforce package - it was delivered to my house today while I was at work, as I expected (I expected to collect it either from neighbour or from local post office).
Imagine my surprise when I check the tracking number on line, and see that it has been delivered, and signed for by ... me! I was somewhat concerned initially, thinking someone had masqueraded as me.
However, you can now view the proof of delivery signature - and when I did it was clearly my flatmate (not sure why he's not at work today, but still ...)
His signature is clearly readable, and is obviously not even similar to my name, so why they have it logged as being signed for by me I don't know. Main thing is that it's safely delivered, I guess. As long as the contents are intact when I get home, I'll be happy enough - especially since I'm aiming to sell them for 100% profit

rapido wrote:To follow up on my Parcel 2 Go saga. Yesterday, Parcel 2 Go sent an e-mail saying they could only look into a refund if I supplied the reference number.
The original message I sent them contained the reference number, and my message was quoted at the bottom of their e-mail!!!
Incompetent or what?!

Doesn't surprise me at all TBH. They seem ok until something goes wrong and then seem unless to say the least. One lady I spoke to in their offices even blamed me even though I had my email confirmation of pickup! :rolleyes:0 -

Ordered from Payperdrop last night around 5pm or so, chose collection for to-day.
DHL guy just came 'round 5 minutes ago (12.30pm) and picked it up! Excellent service for £5.99. Let's just hope it gets there to-morrow as promised!

will agree with above post about pharos international , http://www.pharos-international.co.uk/cquote.php( they use ups mainly ), have used most couriors in the past but they are far and away the best , easy online instant quote for anywhere in europe , with drop down menus ( have sent dyson hoovers to italy very reasonably just over £20.00) and uk price is quite often less than royal mail approx £10.00 for quite big parcels , and they collect from the door upto 2 or 3 times a day . tip : get some delivery labels from driver for next time you use them ,0
