DH has been made redundant as of 12 today.

I am really sorry to hear this. Loads of hugs for you both.

pigpen Can you get OH's mother to ask on your behalf? My friend had the same problem for her GDD and eventually was able to have her baptised in a different parish to the one she lived in. Had to get permission from her own vicar though.

Dds school seem to have pulled their fingers out with regard to what is going on with her. She even got an award for improved handwriting today! I feel that because she is a quiet, well behaved child who gets on with her work she tends to get forgotten about. So we'll see what happens next.

House has had a mad 2 hour tidy and vacuum as MIL is babysitting tonight. Dd1 and I are off to the pantomime.

    Love to all

We could have her dipped there without any issue at all... BUT.. that would mean transporting 11 of us My mother, stepdad, 2 sisters and respective OH's there and an overnight stay which is just not realistic.. If we have the service here there will be OH's mum sister and maybe his dad to sor for an overnight visit and I can fit them in my house so no cost really.

Anyhoobedoo.. I am off.. see y'all sooooooooooooooooon

Not read back properly - but sorry to hear your news JulieJim.

Running in to see if anyone fancies a HHC NOW! I have exactly half an hour before my (unexciting) dinner is ready so I'm off for a quick sprint round!

Sorry to hear your bad news JulieJim, hoping that your hubby finds employment very quickly. xxx

Been a bit of a week at work, I'm getting really fed up with the continous pressure due to cut backs....glad its the weekend.

Anyway, off to throw some washing in and do 'something' for tea.

Have a good friday evening all. x

I'm a bad Flylady; the windows, pictures and mirrors didn't get done.:(
I'll have to try and do them tomorrow - will get Mr LW to do the two dragon pictures that I can't reach easily even with the step stool.

Does playing with the canine guest for half an hour count as me-time, bearing in mind it's something I like to do?:o

Rushes in to update before removing dinner from oven.

So, in my HHC I managed to

Empty airing cupboard of personal clothes and put away (although in Mr B's case that necessitated putting undies in his T-shirts drawer 'cause he has so many socks - probably 90% unwearable but I feel he's a grown up now and should sort his own wrecked clothing out).
    Change towels
    Tidy round upstairs
Sort the laundry for the non-functioning WM
Tracked down three pieces of paper containing vital diary information - now in safe place for putting in PDA
    Change dog bedding and bowls
    Empty DW
Prepare proper veggies to go with unexciting dinner
    Put away unsold cakes :(
Change bed and then declutter blood all over the clean bedding from a cut I must have created when cutting veg in my hand instead of on a board!

    Off to meet my dinner.
