Oh no Julie - ((hugs)) to you both, what an awful thing.

Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

How did you get on twinmum07. Even though I had my DS round my ankles in his bedroom I still managed to...

Fill a huge vacuum bag full of DS's old clothes, shoes and toys.
    Hoover DS's room
    Declutter DS's room
    Hoover landing
    Hoover bathroom. :j

I feel like it's been more than half an hour as I'm cream crackered now:rotfl:and now I have to go to Sainsbugs for the weekly shop. My house will be so tidy at the weekend but I'll be too tired to enjoy it :rotfl:

I'm now thinking of having our afternoon drink and snack a bit earlier.

    Ditto!
I am struggling to remember what I have done as I feel like it has been days since I started the HHC!

    I think I have:
Empied WM and hung on airer/bunged on dryer.
Folded washing from tumbler and airer
Soaked stained school shirts in oxy action stuff
Cleaned highchair after DS smeared lunch all over it.
Decluttered small windowsill in playroom which used to be a hotstuff for post and things but has been full so became more of a tepid spot!
Tidied bookcase and arranged books in size order (my OCD side is feeling very content now)
    Hoovered the rug
Stopped DS playing with the cat's bowl about 60 times!

I am going to have a quick 10 min blast trying to scrub some of the mucky marks off the playroom wall before setting off for the school run and hopefully the washing machine will finish before I need to leave so i can get the last load in before i set off.
    I feel super productive today

oh how horrid: did he have any idea that redundancies were due? I can't work out what's worst, knowing that the axe is due to fall or not knowing which means you have the shock of the event to deal with as well.... either way, commiserations.

Juliejim sorry to hear that, we had to redo our budget when DP lost his main contract too, he went back to work on the 6th to be told to go home and no warning, we're still muddling now so I do know what it's like but it's one of those things that we do manage because, well we have to. You know we're all here if you need us x

Well good progress made, not brilliant but much much better than it was. I've got rid of so much junk today even I'm shocked. Waiting for TD to finish again to get the next load in. I've got more to clear off the benches, then those to clean, door fronts then floor. DPs brother is here filling in some application forms I got him for some jobs right up his street (he's also another one of the many made redundant over the last few years and has had part time/casual stuff since) so he's in my way of doing the dining area.

I best go get DS1 from school, back later x
One day I might be more organised...........

WE knew there were going to be redundancies but DH would have been 1 of the last to go but they've closed the whole place so everyone's out.
