Afternoon everyone. i am a long time lurker/occasional poster who wants to post more often so here goes!

Spent the morning catching up on laundry- why is it one day without doing laundry and suddenly its an Everest size mountain!
ED is now doing her laundry, YD will have her turn tomorrow!

Did a late lunch, lamb and trimmings- very yummy- used my new toy- the pressure cooker - for the veg- WHY have I been without a pressure cooker all these years? its FABULOUS! My carrots (enough for 5 people ) took 4 mins!!!! And they were delicious!

Off to church soon so just whipped up some choc chip muffins - had a pile of choc chips in my baking cupboard and my diet doesn't allow for yummy choc chip muffins so they are being taken for after the service in the cafe.

Woodburner is going nicely which means no central heating on- hooray!!

Just got to get the breadmaker going later and will be done for the day!

Hope everyone is having a peaceful Sunday afternoon!

Just took a call from Argos earlier, my new adjustable bed will be with me on Wednesday - this one's got a memory foam mattress. I have had such poor sleep with the old bed and some mornings I really struggle to rise from it. Woo-hoo!
Going to forage for something to eat now, Day 4 of broth but also some goodies in the freezer, methinks...

    hello :)

wm been on and floors cleaned.

a quiet day here, making HM shepherds pie, cauliflower cheese and
peas for dinner, FIL is eating with us as usual. He was a bit upset today as someone rang and asked to speak to MIL, she passed away very suddenly 3 years ago and yesterday would of been her birthday, so he wasn't too good to start with :( to make things worse it was only a stupid cold call from some company who wanted MIL to sign up to their healthcare plan

noticed a few green shoots poking their heads above the soil today, does that mean Spring is on it's way? can't wait for longer, warmer days :)

hope everyone is having a good Sunday, hugs xx

I've just got back from Birmingham :D It was lovely to meet everyone who turned up yesterday :). We had a lovely afternoon in the pub. I didn't join them in the evening as I was staying with a friend so I can't vouch for the fact that there was no mischief ;):p

Me and my friend hit the bars just off Broad St by the canal/Mailbox. We had a late meal in Pizza Express then few drinks. Then today we went to the Bullring for some window shopping :).

Just having a quick snack and then need to tidy up the flat a bit. WM is on with stuff from weekend. Need to dig in freezer for a soup to take to lunch at work tomorrow.
My weigh in is tomorrow so I will either :jor

I will be doing one or the other too BB - Diet was going very well til Saturday, but then I kinda blew it :rotfl:but was back on the wagon this morning so hopefully I've limited the damage!

    Happy birthday Aussie !!!

    Have a good evening all

    We've got a new dog!!! :j

His name is Toby and we've been told he's 10. If he is, I'm the King of Russia; I've never seen a dog of that age bomb around so much! Our other dog managed to wear him out, but it took a while.

    Photos are here: http://i669.photobucket.com/albums/vv55/v8monkeyboy/Toby2311103.jpg

The charity want to do a home visit in a few days, but they were absolutely amazed that we took him as he's been barking for 3 weeks solid. The minute he set eyes on our othe dog, he shut up! :D

Hopefully it'll work out. He's got lovely manners, appears to be housetrained and has accepted being washed. The only thing we have to do is neuter him, though the kennels will pay £50 towards that for us.

So, much excitement here and nothing OS happening at all. I appear to have come down with a tummy bug which has seen me friendly with a lot of loos on the way home, so dinner for me is either nothing or grated apple with grated carrot.

Hope everyone is ok, and hugs to those who need them.

    T xx
