  • This is a good site that lets you feed a family of 4 for £100 a month if you like what Sainsburys have done with their 5 day weeks!

It has both veggie and meat options and a shopping list for the month based on the plan you choose.

I like the idea too and I like the shopping list - this makes it easy to cross off what you already have, ie herbs, chillies, onions.

I had dismissed the pasta with spinach meal as I never use all the spinach if I buy it fresh, but have noticed this is frozen so may well give it a go now!
  • I can shop for the whole week for 3 meals a day for £25. If I tried it could be for even less.

    SainsburyMealPlanner,

Will you be doing a meal planner for individuals or couples? Not everyone has kiddies :p I had a brief glance at it and it seems like a good idea for a family. I assume that all the ingredients on the list are used for the 5 meals (ie all 12 eggs are used; not 3-4 and rest surplus to requirements).

Ie. For one person, 6 meals for £6?!

    Cheers

    I've been Money Tipped!
I've been following this for the last few weeks for 2 of us, so I'm using the extra portions to fill the freezer and have work lunches.

Some of the portion sizes are huge though so you can easily get 6 out of some of the recipies. They have all been good so far though and all include at least 1 or 2 or my 5 a day.

My challenge now is to reduce the rest of my shop - I'm still spending £50 for the 2 of us. I expected it to go down using this plan so a little confused!
  • Hi everyone

Just so you know, we've given Sainsburys company representative status and they may be posting on here in future to answer questions about the meal planner.
Could you do with a Money Makeover?
