Ah!! So close. I have never been to Chichester! Been on my to do list for a looong time. Well I am usually dead to the world until midday lol. But I just couldn't sleep with my painful hips. Bad night waking loads. And at 730 hubby started fidgiting so gave up and got up! I will wake him soon so we can get in town and get hair cuts done and out the way and get back for a nice afternoon nap. Then I can go play in the garden yay. Brought some blue Buddlea for 1p last night! Will be nice in our garden butterflies loves them. Whats everyone elses plans for the day?
  • hey ladies

i am still having bra problemos - going to take the ones i brought from mothercare back as they hurt under my boobs. went into peakcocks yesterday and brought a boo tube type bra - 2 for £6. they are strapless, with a bit of a moulded cup no underwires - would suite ladies with smaller boobs. they are so comfy, very cheap as well. will be handy when wearing maxi dresses in the summer.

very foggy here this morning, hope it clears and we get some sunshine.

plans for today, tidying round the house, maybe placing a few things on ebay/freecycle and this afternoon going to kiddicare with OH and mother in law to try and get down pushchair choice to a few - measured my boot and its only 100cm, so cuts out some of the pushchairs i was looking at :(

i think baby is now turning over and not just kicking as feeling different sensations now, bit like a ripple.

Had the results from our combined test today - adjusted risk of Down's Syndrome is 1:20940 (low), so pleased about that. Just have to wait 4.5 weeks until our anomaly scan to find out if there is any risk of spina bifida, as they don't do a blood test for that at our hospital any more. Keeping my fingers crossed that all is well with Bean - can't wait to see it again and find out (hopefully) what flavour we're cooking. ;)

    Hello AMC

I have always had a problem with shirts / blouses, as i'm usually a 32F, so i usually go for tops with some lycra in them, and scoop necks where possible. I'm living in jumper dresses and leggings at the moment, and i'm also lucky enough to be able to wear jeans at work, so jeans and long sleeved tops with waterfall style cardis over the top.

I always hate high necked tops and dresses so don't have any, but a friend of mine who has big boobs who is also pregnant wears scarves (not woolly ones, but the thinner pashmina style ones) that she can cover her cleavage with.

I'm going to get the Anita in 32I today... starting to get double boob on the 32H i'm wearing at the moment (which is actually 32G as they come up a size smaller than they are labelled). A little worried about what size i'm going to end up as, especially as they're biggest just after the baby is born! Basket ball nets maybe? :o

    Happy Monday everyone xx

Hi Rakkibeth and anyone else with boob problems! I got the Anita bra from Figleaves.com in a 36F which is supposed to be equivalent to 36E and it was too small – well, it fitted fine on my right one but not on the left (does anyone have boobs the same size?!). So I've sent it back and ordered the 36G which is a 36F. But I'm just praying that I don't get any bigger because I'll topple over at this rate! I've read too that they can get bigger just before you give birth because of the milk. Maybe I should have bought a bigger size still. I have to say it felt nice and comfortable on, it's just a pity that I seem to be expanding at the speed of light ... despite this my tummy isn't that huge (at 23 wks). Having said that, I was on the tube today as I went into London and an elderly lady gave up her seat for me – so I must look pregnant!

Not sure you could fill a whole weekend unless your very into museums and history. That said behind the cathedral a short walk out of town you can go by the water meadows. So if the weather is nice you can have some nice walks. Very much depends on what you want to do really!

My husband and I recently booked a four-night break in Winchester for my birthday in mid-April. Really looking forward to visiting the castle and cathedral as never been over there before. The B&B we're staying in looks lovely too. We're just after a relaxing holiday that doesn't break the bank, plus nice to not have to travel too far and also get a holiday before I get too big!

Hi ladies, just popping over for a lurk! For those of you considering real nappies this website is great:

    http://www.goreal.org.uk/

If I remember correctly it has a section where you can find out if your council offers any incentives for people using reusable nappies. my local council will give you up to £50 back depending on how much you spend. Also, you can find out if there is anyone local to you who does a nappy hire service. There's a lady near me who hires out trial kits for £4 a week (plus a refundable deposit) which includes a few different types of nappies plus everything you need to use them (liners, boosters, bin). i've already been to see her and will be trying a kit once baby is a few weeks old. Most people use disposables at first until you're into more of a routine and baby has grown a bit. Alot of the reusables are 'birth to potty' kits but I believe they are often not a great fit on newborns, especially if they're on the smaller side. the good thing about hiring a kit with a few different types is that you can then find out which ones suit you and your baby best. i know loads of people who have spent an absolute fortune on one particular brand before baby was born, only to find that it doesn't fit their baby that well. like disposables they all have a slightly different fit.

    hope that helps!

What a shame, looks like nothing in the Buckinghamshire area, at least, can't find anything via this website. Maybe I need to do some more searching online.

for those of you with small car boot like mine 100cm - there arent that many pushchairs that will fit in your boot - unless you want to spend loads on a quinny etc

anyway my budget is £200 and we found two in kiddicare that will fit my boot- the britax B mobile 4 - costs £145 on amazon or a 3 wheeler called baby jogger sidewalk which is £159.99 exclusive to kiddicare - we are going to take one more trip to try them out and make a decision. feels nice to have narrowed it down and we actually tried them in the boot at kiddicare which is always a good idea.
also check out the kiddicare videos on utube about the pushchairs you like as they are really informative

in a few weeks will be be looking at cots, think i know which one i want from toysrus.

feeling good today managed my 50 lengths at the pool with plenty of breaths inbetween. enjoy the sun everyone,

I have eaten SO MUCH this weekend! Almost an entire Lindt bunny yesterday then a massive Chinese meal. Today spicy cheese on toast followed by M&S apple and blackberry crumble cake. So expensive but so amazing...

Been shopping for stuff for the new bathroom this weekend and I got the cutest little hook for the back of the baby's room door in the shape of a teddy bear! Only £4 :o)

Think my bras are getting too tight already. The band (36) is fine, think the cups are too small (E). Not surprised as Mothercare did a RUBBISH job of measuring me in the first place.

In other news, I *think* I'm feeling the baby move! It feels like a little twitch or as if someone is flicking me from inside, just below my belly button.

I also got fitted for the heart monitor on Friday to check on my palpitations. Of course I haven't had one yet but I've got it til Thursday. It's stuck on with 2 sticky pads and it itches like hell, and it also keeps beeping and getting on my nerves so I'm quite irritable this weekend! Hope everyone's having a good one.
