    Hello Emsbet!

Janninew, sounds like your baby was even more badly behaved than mine at the scan! Did they give you the tip about sugary / fizzy drink and sugary choc before your next scan, to get the baby wriggling a bit more?

I've got my MATB1 form now, so lots of paperwork to sort out this afternoon to book maternity leave etc.

I've been reading a thread on baby and bump forum about tips to get baby to behave at 20 week scan...seems a mars bar and lucozade/ice cold strawberry milkshake is the way forward:rotfl:about half hour before scan. must say the last couple of times ive had cold milkshake, the baby has been kicking like a pro footballer after.:T

2 weeks today til my scan:j

This is interesting, I'll be stocking up on the lucozade for tomorrow morning, already got mars bars at the ready. Obviously I'll do my urine sample before eating all that crap
The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.

Hello Phunkles! :) Hope your cold goes soon!

Lucy I'll have to remember to take a bottle of Lucozade and a mars bar with me in November as I'm sure Sir Alex is going to be in an awkward position - (s)he was for my 6 week and 12 weeks scans! :)

  • Hey everyone,

    Hope you're all well :)

Can't believe I'm almost 24 weeks now! It's all going in so fast, but can't wait to meet my little boy! Been feeling so many hard kicks atm. When I'm lying in bed trying to get to sleep he always seems to get most hyper and I get such a fright sometimes lol.

We've bought the pram, can't wait to get it delivered now :D here it is:

Me?! No I'm quiet as a mouse, hardly ever post, so it's not possible you would have "seen" me anywhere before! ;) :rotfl:

I want to find out but DH isn't sure and because I want him to feel involved and that he has a say in things I have said that I will leave it up to him. Although he is such a sweetie and will do anything to make me happy that I suspect he will say yes! ;)

    Afternoon Girls,

    How is everyone?

I have 3 weeks to wait until my 20 week scan and I am itching to see the bubba again :( We've decided to stay with Team Yellow although I am dearly tempted to find out, but I know I won't be able to keep the secret. Better not to know and have the added incentive to push a little harder :rotfl:

I am convinced thought that we are having a girl, but you will all (and me) have to wait until March to find out.

thanks for all the well-wishes guys...

    its another BOY!!!

quite apprehensive about it really - never had one of those before lol. But i guess our little family will really be complete come feb. will add myself to the gender list later.

welcome emsbet and janninew - hope your next scan shows a better behaved baby! good luck for tomoro gilly!

Ro - nappies - we started with a newborn bambino mio kit only which worked out well for us when DD was newborn - we had 6 wraps and 20 prefolds. I would say though they leaked a bit at night, so we moved on to totsbots with a wrap at night - the bamboo ones are best. Now she's older we use totsbots easyfits in the day, and totsbots bamboozles with a wrap at night as they fit her best. I would say the cloth has worked out great for us - she's so aware of her own body - we sign with her as well, and in the day she signs for the toilet when she needs it. She's been using the toilet for number 2s almost exclusively since 6 months. And now she also uses it 90% of the time for pees in the day. Any questions just ask! HTH

......... Congratulations on your boy news, am sure your oh is excited too, boy toys galore and all that!!

Thank you for your nappy advice, your information is very helpful!!

The other think I do worry about (seeing as we are both having boys) is changing them and getting well 'sprinkled' :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Hello All :j

Welcome Phunkles :D hope you feel better soon!

Stacey - Know what you mean about the 'hyper' moments, my boy seems to have a day recovering after having a mental day/night.

Those who are team yellow - I admire you as no way would I have the patience!!!!!! I would have liked to but it would have been impossible.

Gilly - Good luck for your scan!

The sonographer asked us if we wanted to know (if he was able to see of course) as soon as we walked into the scan room. I just said no straight away. The week or so before the scan I was wavering slightly, even though I've *always* said from a young age that if or when I got pregnant I wouldn't want to know in advance of the birth. I think I would have been a bit disappointed in myself if I'd ended up saying yes and finding out! :rotfl:

So, providing there are no reasons for me to have another scan further down the line, there is no way I *can* find out until Pip arrives anyway, so I now don't have a choice!
