Gilly - Congratulations on finding out you are having a bouncing boy!! :j

Honesty try not to worry ((hugs)) about the re-scan as she says its just routine and 0.2mm is a tiny amount as she says its just procedure and she is not at all worried about it.

Congratulations on team blue! If the consultant isn't concerned then I'd try not to worry - easier said than done I know. Big ((hugs)) I'm sure little man will be fine

It's just so hard to believe that, even though she's telling me. She said there was nothing else wrong with the head at all, and the spine was perfect, so normally if there was anything else to worry about, something else would have showed up. Just need to wait and see, and pray everything is ok!!

Well that's good news that everything else is ok. I think she would have told you if she thought there was any cause for concern.

Sometimes there are just boxes that they have to tick and the size is probably just over the limit for a consultant to have a look at (which will be set to be a bigger range than it needs to be just to cover themselves). An example of this is I had epliepsy as a child (not had it since I was about 11) and because of that I have to see the epilepsy nurse (as very rarely it can re-occur in pregnancy) but the midwife said that it will more than likely just be the one appointment and the nurse will decide I'm low risk. They just have to send everyone who's every had an eplieptic fit to been seen just in case.

Thanks guys, from looking online, our measurement is 11mm and anything over 10mm has to be investigated, but it's only over 14mm that is of concern. I let my OH look it up, I've not because I know I'll end up hyper ventilating.

It is a sign apparently that the baby just has a big head :o and she did mention that to us so fingers crossed.

Thanks for all your kind words and thoughts, we've to go back on Friday.

Gilly - Well what your oh has looked up sounds perfectly sensible to me. Hopefully once you have had the scan Friday you can then forget about all about it and relax.

Gilly that's a normal reaction, after what happened with me a few weeks ago it took a while for me to calm myself down, I still have moments of anxiety about it and get all doom and gloom, It's gonna be hard but try to stay positive, in 2 days you will have a clearer pic of whats going on xxxxxxx

... think you need a bracing walk with oh and something nice for T. I think being hysterical is normal when pregnant as there is just too many things to worry about, I got myself in a right tissy when I found out about being rhesus neg. But as long as mousey is booting away then I know he's happy.
