That is a brilliant comedy site. Someone has put a fair amount of work into making it look like a real site for parking enforcement (sic) companies.

I assume it was a school project or similar. :D

EDIT - I see it even has reference to "parking on your driveway" comedy gold!

Did you read his email convo with Patrick Troy!! :D

No haven't seen that but I do enjoy a good laugh so the link would be good.

The link only opens up the home page.

On top 5th tab along,"Why ban us" Below the picture of the cowboys. half way down there is a link headed. BPA downsizes level of support! next to red font!
  • ""My staff and colleagues have been goaded, stabbed, spat at, abused, lost teeth, slashed in the the thigh with an angle grinder, suffered fractures to the face, fingers, spine and scull. They've been punched, baseball batted, stoned, pursued and followed home, intimidated both at work and in their own town. They've had to run from gangs, dogs, confront gypsy's and travellers, night club bouncers. the press, the police and now the coalition.""
In their job they are surprised?
Look at the url on the tax disc holder in the shop. You can't miss it, its the only item on sale.

    Thanks for that.

I did start to read it but lost the will to live before I got very far.

I see he accuses the BPA of being "a Rockweiler with no teeth".

I wonder what the hell that is?

It would be hard to imagine a more pathetic site. (I am sure they are out there!)

...Wow, up to three years?! Unbelievable....

Like it or not, clamping is a livelihood for some people.

If your trade/job was going to be banned, you might appreciate a bit of notice to make alternative arrangements to pay the mortgage, feed the kids, etc.

It didn't stop them scrapping HIPS.;)

Now is a good time to run off a quick letter to all our MPs making sure they know the extent of the shocking extremes of this knuckle-dragging industry. Some MPs might be swayed by the 'not parking on my back yard/driveway' landowner [STRIKE]argument[/STRIKE] old chestnut if it's pushed hard enough at them.

Constituents need to persuade their MP now that clamping HAS to be banned so their mind is already made up before the Bill is discussed.

Be careful what you wish for, it might come true... I wouldn't be surprised at all if the government is being lobbied (by landowners and businesses) to allow legally enforceable private parking fines if clamping is banned.

You can guarantee they are and lobbying with a lot more weight than we would be able to muster. It is their livelihood after all.
