Fed up with TalkTalk so lets do the WalkWalk
Comments
-
I did the WalkWalk in June, when I moved house. All was well until I moved and tried to take them with me as my calls and broadband provider. A comedy of errors, only it was so stressful there wasn't much laughter. The final straw was when an advisor called me on my mobile sounding quite put out that he'd been trying to call me, but I never answered. Turned out he'd been trying to call me on my old number at my old house - a number TT had themselves disconnected three weeks before (and a week earlier than they shoud have done!)
Utterly inept. Vote with feet and purses/wallets!0 -
The speed on my line is not TT fault .

Oh, it probably is. They have a terrible habit of messing around with what profile their customers are on such that you're line maybe should and would be capable of 10Mb but they'll shift you onto a dodgy incompatible profile and you end up with <1Mb. Try complaining and rather than just change you back or put you on another profile you can expect to go through weeks of it being blamed on your equipment until finally someone takes responsibility and solves it, more often than not without telling you as that would involve an admission it was their fault.Bought, not Brought0 -

They owe me money when they over charged me but keep on stalling its almost 3 months now and still no closer to getting my money back. I endorse the leave them now, anyone thinking of joining them please reconsider they may have cheapish prices but they are the bottom of the pile.
It took us 6 months to get a refund from Talk Talk you just have to be persitent and determined. During that time they still keeped taking money from our account even though we didnt owe them anything. At least you get the same appauling level of service after you leave as get while you are a customer.
Like many others I did not chose to join them I was with Tiscali and I was not even informed of the takeover. Talk Talk are not the bottom of the pile ... they are long way below that level :exclamati0 -
Looking now -cannot bear to be with these any longer (Tiscali still)
Bunch of
.
I absoluely hate this company with a vengence .
Poor speed (1-1.5mb) , dropped connections ,unable to get or send emails half the time due to pop box asking for password intermittingly , crap router , rude useless, incompetent and ignorant customer service -reading from a script -waiting ages for them to answer you after you ask a question , can''t understand them half the time -the other half you can''t hear them , constant noise in background from other staff when ringing -totally appalling in every way .
Just looking for somewhere else now -only BT in my exchange, rural, long way from exchange .
Looking at plusnet without contract -or BT but put off with customer service in India again and long contract .
Virgin, O2 all want £25 just for BB.
Only download a few songs, videos and Apps from itunes once a month -no more than a dozen at the most .
Any advice welcome.0 -
Well, after reading others posts (not just on f.mse) I would like to share my experiences being with Talk Talk. I won't go in to large detail seeing as many other have the same problems.
The service I have been given from day one' terrible! Our broadband 'pfft' shall we call it 'dial up', the package we we suppose to receive "up to 24MB", but we are getting 36KB! I have tried all methods to fix this, the Talk Talk support line is more like a "support lie" telling me that they will have the problems amended shortly, still waiting (5 week later to date). Phone is not operational, broadband drops connection after every 15 minutes, with "our amazing speed of 36KB" >.< .
Their customer support are more or less an anti-support team, little to no help at all.
I simply can't wait to switch to a more capable provider, I'm done with Talk Talk's abomination of service!
So Virgin Media here we come.0 -
If you think TT customer service is bad, then you're going to get a horrible shock if you move to VM!No free lunch, and no free laptop0

I left in January due entirely to their appaulling customer support. I'd like to say it all went smoothly but I have just received an email telling my my latest bill ( to my non existant account) is available to view on line?? I'm awaiting an explanation but won't hold my breath. I have cancelled my direct debit so hopefully they won't be able to get any money from me,

Have you already had your "final" bill? Check it online to make sure it says £0.00.0
-
I can't cos I haven't got an account. Was unable to log on from when my provider changed. I waited for the payment after this date before cancelling my DD.0

Well it seems I have to hold my hands up and appologise to TT. The email was because they owed me money, cheque received very promptly. Rare to say it but thank you TT.0
