    Alright day for a Monday

Had a good nightshift last night, finished at 7.30 this morning so and was home just after 8am. Result!!

Slept til about half past one then got up and pottered about. Managed to spend £12 before I got out of bed. My friend sent me a link to Groupon, its another one of these sites that sends you daily deals in your city. This one is £12 for a comedy show, burger/drink and club entrance including cloakroom afterwards. A few of us got one and will probably go next month :). Good deal I thought.

I then headed into town and popped into Primark, got a pair of their 'ugg cardi' type boots for £2, bargain. Handy for around the house :)

Then went to curves, I did enjoy it and got more out of my workout this time so am glad I joined. Going to try go everyday this week whilst I'm off. Theyre having an open day on Wednesday in the Glasgow City Centre one where you can pop along and try it out for free, they'll be doing some Zumba moves too. No I dont work for them! Just thought it might be useful to someone.

Headed home on jam packed bus with old drunk trying to read my texts/ emails and saying I should email him. I politely replied no thank you and he spent the remainder of the loooooong journe apologising. Hate busy buses!

Dinner is cooking away, cant wait am so hungry.
  • oooohhhh drunks are horrid at the best of times :(

I might have a nosy on groupon as I like cheap nights out.

Its good, also the Big Deal on 5pm.co.uk
  • a couple of things on the groupon my friend has been on and one was for a colonic irrigation....(ewwwww but anyhow she swears by them) it stated that it was a 90 minute session she was in and out (no pun intended) in 40 minutes when she queried this with the woman, she replied that wasn't what they had said when they put the advert in....

And another time she paid for a haircut etc rang the salon only to be told that she had to wait for at least 3 months before they could book her in as the deal had proved really successful....she couldn't book the appointment there and then as she works shifts and didn't know which pattern she would be on....

Saw the comedy thing one though was posted for Leeds but when searched under Bradford some of the deals were the same but cheaper, although not so sure as to why??

I have only recently discovered groupon its great!!!

littleboots i noticed you mentioned slimming world - i joined them before xmas and lost 12 lb - i ended up not going anymore due to being depressed and safe to say most of that has gone back on!!! but it is really good - you dont have to weigh anything either and can still eat loads!!!xx
  • I haven't personally bought anything from there but someone else mentioned 5pm.co.uk which I think is similar but is Scottish based well especially for the beauty treatments etc...

I think at the moment I am being a bit of a tight wad, but with the impending redundancy and the am I or aren't I is making me keep a tight hold of any money that I get.

Slimming world is great, my two cousins are both getting married within a week of each other and one has lost 2.5 stones and the other is 2 stones lighter. My mum and dad are both doing it and my mum is losing 1.5lbs per week on average and has lost nearly her first stone whilst my dad has lost about a stone and a half.

Oh well better get something done seen as though I am at work :o

Hey BF and Miaow, my friend has used Groupon a few times with no problems, guess its just your luck. I thought that the companies using these sites would be wanting to entice new customers therefore try to give youa decent experience. My curves deal is going well so far.

Slimming World is great and you can eat sooo much! How does it work??? I'm looking to maintain my weight, maybe lose a couple more pounds but hoping it comes from my hips! Hopefully the gym will sort that :).

Had a nice wee day so far, met the lovely Souk for coffee (well tea but coffee sounds more glam), lots of travel chat and I now have that 'I NEED A HOLIDAY' feeling! Great to meet her and hopefully will again :).

Then went to Curves and did my workout, can feel it doing something. Looking forward to going tomorrow, theyre going to have drummers and Zumba dancers there for their open day. Bought some Oat So Simple and exfoliating gloves from the poundshop, bargain! Then spent £1 inAldi on spuds and a pineapple.

Will try to do a shred this evening, dreading it already!
