Hi, Just caught up with your diary! Love the idea of a Fab Fund and I defo need to start 1 of my own. Nice haircuts, wax's manicures where the 1st thing that I had to cut from my budget and it's just not the same doing them yourself! Sounds like your doing really well on the meal planning and batch cooking as well. Well done!!

Hello Diary
Well after work today I went to sports direct and spent a whole £13.98 on gym gear :rotfl:, the cheapest stuff going! I also treated myself to a mushroom growing kit from Aldi at £3.99. To be honest I've not read many good reviews about them but I'd still like to try.
I now have personal spends of £22.03 left til Friday.
Have bought a new laptop too :j. I got this with my Christmas money and my savings tin money (was planning on spending it on a holiday so I'll have to get right back onto the saving again). It was from the Argos Clearance shop on ebay, £270 + del £3.99 for a refurb Toshiba Laptop with a years guarantee, comes with good reviews too :j.
Other spends today were £4.25 at for milk and veg, leaving grocery fund of £10.46 hmmm.
I also cooked today!!! Made a big batch of chile and a batch of bolognese. I've never made the bolognese before and was amazed at how tasty it was! Something I made!!! Means I have decent meals in the freezer to look forward to.
I am knackered now, no work til Wednesday though woohoo.
Mood wise I am alright, still getting wobbly moments but trying my best to just get on with it
Tomorrow I join the gym eeek0 -

See LB you can cook....:j
You may find that you have 'wobbly' days more often when you are feeling tired...but going to the gym will give you more energy and will give you something else to stay focussed on...

Hello Everyone
OK confessions, I havent yet joined the gym:o and today have logged on to find a load of well done on joining the gym messages
. Thank You all! Turns out theres an admin fee I hadnt factored in so going to have to wait until I get paid on Friday until I can join. There thats my excuse!:rotfl:
Still feeling quite motivated and the scales yesterday showed a 2.5lb loss!!! Woohoo!! Now weigh the least ever in my adult life . Still I know I have to exercise as I need to tone up. Any Glasgow Club members out there by any chance??? Could probably do with a gym buddy.
Yesterday I caved and bought a Bonsai Tree out of my personal spends, I love it and was only £8 from Tesco. Today I just have to pick up some fruit and a wee treat for my Mum to go with her birthday present.
Meal planning is going well, a few tweaks here and there but it's good to be having decent meals. Budget is going ok but work is dwindling a bit so have to be extra careful.
Saying that, I am writing this on my new laptop. Came today. The ex collected his PC yesterday, was nice to see him and I felt alright about it. I have decided that (despite not being catholic) I am giving up feeling sorry for myself for lent!! Will have to find other things to occupy my mind with :T.
Cant for the life of me get my internet to connect wirelessly, still having to use the ethernet cable. My laptop and phone can pick up signals from the neighbours but not from the box right next to it :mad:. Will have to get googling I think.
I'm hoping I'll have a shift or two by the end of the week. Have another annual leave week next week so dont have to worry then0
