Today in Aldershot store they'd reduced their basic razors to 15p, and it still worked with the Golden Glow, but only two GGs left on shelf. Still, not bad value for 30p!
was never able to get golden glow with 31p razors, and i did try:confused:

In my Boots they had the Botanics 3 4 2 offer up but it said EXCLUDING the Body Glow Lotion on the signs. No mention of the Link Save offer of course, but I think you'll be fine taking 3 back. HTH.

I hate to be a stick in the mud but i have to have my say, its all well and good this money saving but when you start taking things back that you did not even pay anything for and then worrying if you will get the full £4 or whatever they cost (to buy on their own) to then obtain other goods is going a bit far, i thought it was just nice to get the freebie to use in the summer but this exchanging of a free item without producing the evidence that nothing was paid for it and then gaining something for nothing IS obtaining goods by deception, which IS a criminal offence!

I agree with you, I have got 12 bottles of bodyglow (for my wife and her sister)...The thought of taking them back had not even crossed my mind and is certainly not in the spirit of moneysaving

o dear i bought my daughter babylis curl something or other for her hair for xmas from boots .
well she informs me the clasp wont hold hair it just slips out shes 18 so knows what she doing as all hair divas do she has long hair ,no she hadnt used conditioner even if she puts thick sections in. its not broke just doesnt do what it says on box .obviously she tried it to find out .it was in excellent condition on return to store .
they say its not faulty as they had no other complaints .
i tried to say its not fit for purpose but their not having it.
they say as she had used it once and in their eyes its not faulty whilst they sympathise they wont refund can i do anything.
thought this be best place to ask as you all seem boots experts

I had a similar experience with some men's hair clippers. The voltage was really low and by the time I'd got half way through my son's hair they were really hot. I took them back and the sales assistant plugged them in. They had a plug socket on the perfume till. She said they're working. I replied they were but after a while they get really hot due to it being low voltage. She said I could exchange them. I looked but couldn't see any other I wanted so she refunded my money. It was a pain though. In my experience it's better getting electricals from Argos. They seem to refund without hassle. Good luck with your result x

Yes i did take advantage of the offer but i gave my botanics as gifts BUT i also happened to recieve some botanics back as xmas gifts-Now i know they probably got hold of them in the same way i did but i have to exchange mine as they are of no use to me as i already have dark asian skin so theres no need for me to tan further-nothing deceptive about that. The 2nd product was a boots skincare set which i can't use as i use neutrogena so that would be an exchange with me paying the difference, its likely that i shall be spending alot more than what these products are worth in boots anyway.
Also i only planned to exchange1 bottle, it was the customer srvices assistant i spoke to who advised me that i was perfectly entitled to exchange all three as they were unwanted xmas gifts.

In principle I do not disagree with what you are saying but to my mind obtaining goods by deception implies that a loss is being made by the company (boots) being deceived

If you simply kept the Body Glow then for one bottle you would have £4.29 worth of goods obtained via a Boots promotion

If you exchanged said bottle for £4.29 of other goods then there is no difference, Boots have the same stock value, you have the same value of goods and everything is still as it was before the exchange

If you take the bottle back for a refund then you are most certainly correct, morally if not legally

I took my No7 for and exchange after a lovely conversation with customer services. However I have a distinct feeling I have been diddled. I took back a yellow suncare set and five items from the skin care range. the manager explained that it will come back as three for two, which I said I was fine with. however, as I was in a hurry I did not question the amount put on the gift card as I had an appointment.

One of the products she said she could not take back as it looked used/ spilt.

anyway, I have worked out that even at 342 I should have £50.50.

I am confused as to what to do, I have no proof that I took all these items back, if it was one item I would not complain, but she has not refunded for four products in my opinion, and that is without taking the extra one into account for the three for two.

Christmas presents are supposed to be fun, this certainly is not!

    Quick question :-

    Are Vitamins/supplements classed as 'medicines'??

I would like to exchange :- 'Boots Smart Omega 3 Fish Oil Chewable Capsules' (I don't have a receipt) - would I be allowed to exchange it, or would they say it's 'medicine' so thus preventing returns/exchanges??

Also if I could exchange , could I exchange for any product in boots or would it have to be for another 'boots' / vitamin product??
would appreciate a reply - thanksXX

I work in Superdrug and we class vitamins as medicines. People could store them in bad conditions (e.g. in a hot steamy bathroom) which could make them ineffective. Customers don't want to buy second hand vitamins or medicines and I know I wouldn't either!

At the end of the day, it's not to be annoying but it's to ensure the safety of all our customers.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but has anyone tried putting three of the half price No7 Christmas sets through to see if they go through on '3 for 2'? I can't remember if I read it on here but I distinctly saw the sign excluding reduced lines...
