Specs and Glasses.com terrible service - HELP!

Am i allowed to say a good place to get glasses from???
wantglasses.com i have ordered from 3 times and they are brilliant. Ladies start at £16 including lenses and mens at £19.
First lot took just less than 2 weeks to arrive and second and third lot took just less than a week.
Would recommend.

Oh no, cricketwidow - thats awful re having the comment removed. What site was the review posted on? Is it actually called review centre? Does anyone have twitter - Ive also posted on there! No reply from anyone so far though about my reports, either from the MHRA or ebay. I also emailed MArtin directly on this site, but nothing back other than a generic email.

Thanks ladym...unfortunately I now cant afford new glasses as I am unlikely to get back the £74 I gave to the awful specsandglasses.com! I know there are plenty of genuine online glasses retailers as I have used several before. This has just been an awful stressful experience for all of us and I still havent plucked up the courage to tell my OH who will hit the roof :eek:

You might want to try contacting the manufacturers of the frames listed on their site advising them that the company is dodgy. Chances are they will appreciate the info and try and investigate how Specsandglasses are getting their frames.

Givenchy are supplied by Derigo,
Bebe, Jeff Banks, Vera Wang, Poloriod, and Laura Ashley are supplied by Norville

Not sure about the other brands though

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Everyone contact your Credit Card company. I called mine a few days ago and even though the amount was less than £100 they may be able to help..............

It is good to see so many who are trying to hit back at this miserable cheat who has ripped of so many. I'm pleased to say Specsandglasses web site is now closed and hopefully the credit industry, e.g. Visa and Paypal etc, will no longer facilitate this individual.
Let us all get our own back in every way possible and just hope the Police and DPP just might make an example of the wretch.:beer:

Hey - thanks everyone for posting advice on here. I also fell for this website and placed an order last Friday (a day before the website disappeared!). I have phoned Barclaycard though and they have marked the transaction as 'disputed' and said they can retrieve the money if I fill in a claim form which they are sending me - phew!
That'll teach me to order online before looking at reviews of the seller though! Although I did just notice that one of the few positive reviews I found for specsandglasses.com was posted by a [TEXT DELETED BY FORUM TEAM] - the cheek of it!
Anyway, I hope everyone gets their money back and this scumbag is caught and can't just trade again under another name... I'll do the Crimestoppers report too!

Hi Everyone ... We had to wait 30 days from the 1st complaint email i sent to Specsandglasses before we could report it to our Bank (Santandar) My bank have been great and im happy to say they have credited the full amount back into my account !!!! Result for us but still the robbing bA*****S Have got away with it !!!!
