Specs and Glasses.com terrible service - HELP!

I ordered a pair of specs from this website quite a while ago, they still havent arrived and I cant get through to the company by phone - the answer message is ALWAYS the same whether they are open or not, I have left numerous messages and I have also emailed them and never get a reply. Has anyone else any experience with them, or any advice on what I can do - I really need my specs or my money back (credit card).

    Going through the same thing. Ordered glasses months ago and had nothing. I don't want to say too much as things are still on-going but I say to anyone thinking of using this company to avoid them at all costs!

  • Mike - did you pay for yours by credit card? My statement isnt showing anything coming out yet on my card, but I suspect it might show in the February statement, so I cant do anything until then, but the prob is I cant afford to pay for another pair in the meantime :(. Think the general feeling seems to be to make sure your experience is well documented publicly to stop others going through the same thing.

    I googlemapped them, and the "business" doesnt look like it would be where glasses are made, which is even more depressing!

    Yes it was on a credit card so I am sure I can get my money back.

    Just a real pain to have to deal with something that should be so simple!

  • I agree MIke - although reading the credit card refund rules, Im not covered as my purchase was under £100 which is a double pain!

    same problem here, ordered a pair of glasses early january, received an email stating it was not available and asking whether i wanted to change my order. have not heard anything back from them since then but I have been charged for them.
    a quick look on google gives those contact details for the company

  • Saria - can I ask how you got those details? I have to pass them on to the MHRA who the company claims to be regulated by/registered with. Needless to say the MHRA have no such company on their register and are about to start legal action too.
