well surely you will always have that as a reason to stay at home?
what is the point of discussing it when I have just shown you have no intention of making your life happier.:wall:Crazy Nutters Club Member 003 :wall:0 -

When I live off money I earn compared to living on student loans that makes all the difference in having my own place.
I am making my life better.:beer:0 -
I knew very few people at uni who lived at home. All the people in halls or shared houses managed ok
I think uni itself is a great excuse to get your own place0 -
It is a bit late for me now to go live in halls, but I think moving away to uni might have been better.:beer:0

She brings out my manly and confident elements though.
No, I wouldnt marry her until she had graduated.
Blimey! I'd hate to see your less confident elements....Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -
She brings out my fun loving, out going sides as I want to impress her I suppose. I dont really have time to feel down when I am with her.Quasar wrote:Blimey! I'd hate to see your less confident elements....:beer:0 -

Well, I'm glad she is such a positive influence on you. The more time you spend with her, the better then.

That is true in the 'real' world you have to pay for things like council tax ,water rates insurance car tax phone, electric and gas bills. If you are as I am a retired widow living on a fixed income, but who is lucky enough to not have a mortgage then that is totally different from someone say like my youngest daughter who has one income and five growing children. Everyone is different and if you are being subsidised by your parents then you will have a different value of money to the rest of us who don't have parents to pay the bills
When I first left home aged 16 and went out into the 'real' world it was quite a shock that if I didn't put a shilling in the meter then there were no electric light, or warm gas fire .I remember living on custard for a week as that was all I had in the cupboard to eat. :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -

At least it wasn't gravy
"One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0 -
I am lucky at the moment because my parents do almost everything for me. I live rent free here and all pay is for my own travel.:beer:0
