hi shy, i have just popped in and read your diary. you are doing so well and seem so organised. I really need to get back into ebaying but keep missing the free listing weekends lol.
We all have our up and down days and it is hard but there is a light at the end and your really close now. You have paid 59% of your debt off since november. thats amazing. just keep going and you will reach ur debt free date of august.
Enjoy your holiday aswell, you deserve it.

Abba and Mandz thanks for popping by. It makes me feel better to know people are reading. I know ive paid off an enourmous amount and mostly thats due to getting a bonus. Ive decided im going to get my hair done. Although im totally commited to becoming debt free sometimes i think we all need to let go and have a bit of a treat. I will have to think of ways to make up for it. I sold something on ebay for £20 so that can go toward the hair fund. Ive got 3 birthdays this month oh.mum and a friend but i think ive got those sorted. I also get paid early because of the bank hols so only 2 weeks till pay day. Im hoping to get my pension contrabutions back from the new work pension scheme i joined this year which should be near on £300 but i dont think i will get that untill after i leave the company on the18th not sure how long it will take them to sort it out either. Im feeling more focused today. Going to have a think about what i want out of 2011 as i feel i need more to focus on then clearing the debt. Thanks for the support guys xx

Feeling abit aprehensive today. Cant believe i have 7 days left at work and then im off on holiday then moving and starting a new job. Its so exciting but so scary too. Been in diaryland mooching about on the diaries today and they are so inspirational. I seriously need to think about what i want from this year and put a plan of action into place. Hopefully i will be totally debt free which will be amazing! Im getting my hair done tonight im so excited its going to be worth it. I managed to get £35 towards the fund from ebay sales god getting my hair done is so expensive. But always makes me feel so much better. Im at a party this weekend and its also Mr Shy's birthday so im excited to give him his present. Im expecting my rent deposit back this week or early next week. £300 to my mums then £96 to make up for my hair and hopefully in to the holiday spends fund. x

Got my rent money back today so will have paid my mam the £300 i owe so have amended my signature so desperate to get under the 2k mark. Makes me happy to see the figures coming down :-) only my comet to pay of £221 then just my loan to tackle and i shall be debt free. It seems so doable now x

Oh yes i have managed to get the debt down to £1982 yehaaaa
Seing it that low makes me so happy. Things still tight on the monthly budget really need to get out of my overdraft but im only in by a few hundred so its not too bad.
Need to get my bum in to gear and get back to making extra pennies. Bit hard at the min with being at my parents until i move to oh's next week. Need to buy some work wear for my new job too. All very exciting. I can see debt freedomness in sight! x

Been lurking on the other diaries for abit and i really do find them inspirational.
Ive been thinking about my goals for this year,

Really would like to start saving...would love a newish car but not sure about that yet as theres nothing wrong with the one i have. Even to just have a healthy savings pot would be nice.

Really want to focus on being healthy and exercising especially now im moving in with the OH it would be so easy to lose my focus on keeping fit.

Also once im debt free i need to make sure i dont fall back in to the trap. Its easy to be abit lax when im so close to my DFD but i need to carry on being frugal so help my savings.

As im taking a pay cut in order to move i need to think about where i really want to be career wise and if this new job will be a stop gap or not.

Lots to be thinking about at the moment

So last day at work today then im off for 2 weeks before i start my new job. Going on holiday so excited about that and its all paid for. Just need to work out spending money.
Get paid on the 21st so will have a better idea then. Hoping to nock another £361 of the debt this month which will leave me with approx £1620 owing. I cant belive it will be down to that. Hopefully i can over pay on my loan as that will be the only debt left which is due to end May next year but i will have it gone before that. My mum and Dad bought me a pandora bracelet with 3 charms as a leving gift and i cant believe how lucky i am. They are so expensive and something i would never buy for myself.

Been having a little think about my new budget when i move and start my new job. Ive taken a pay cut but it still looks fairly healthy.

Wage £1330 take home :T £120 a month less than now but hey ho
    Rent £300
    Loan £140
Car Insurance £152 -renewal August cannot wait for that
    TV Licence £12
    Diesel £100
    Internet £25
    Account fee £12
    Phone £35
    Food £60

Ive been quite generous as i dont think i will spend £100 a month on diesel or £60 on food but this can be for going out too

    So a total of £836 :D

Which leaves me £494 I want to save £300 a month ideally which will leave me with £48 a week for general spends and overpayments to my loan.

This is such a change considering before my income was £1450 and my outgoings were about the same. All this debt busting is really paying off!! :j
