So my council tax came out today as normal. I rang them and they said i was on a 12 month plan which obviously i had no idea about. So no free months for me. Also rang the water rates and i get next month and the month after off so not to bad but im seriously gutted about the council tax. I still need to figure out how im going to get back in the black for this month. My car still hasnt been sorted as waiting for parts and the mot expires tommorow eeeek no idea how i will get to work if its not sorted. I have claimed some expenses which will come to about £90 over the next few weeks so that shall help. I need to start being more posative. Roll on pay day when one of my credit cards will be totally cleared! Shy x

Shame about the council tax, but at least the water works in your favour and claiming back the expenses will help. Do you know after all this how short you will be? did you have a chance to look for anything you could sell on ebay?

I think im going to be about £100 short once my expensis have bwen paid. I listed 13 things on ebay last night after some decluttering in the spare room. No bids or wstchers yet but fingers crossed. Ive heard wispers that we are getting a bonus in march and if so it will be about £2200 which wil wipe a big chunk off the debt. I dont want to rely on it though. Im finishing work early today so going t see what other treasures i can find to sell. Hope everyone else is getting on ok. Shy x

I'll keep my fingers crossed on the bonus for you! And I'll also keep them crossed for ebay buyers for your things!

    Thanks Knitty.
Im still in abit of a tiz waz about my money defecit this month. Ive increased my overdraft so im not worried about going over it. This really annoys me as the point of all of this is for me to get out of debt! I think i need to just put the last few months to the back of my mind and focus on improving that Minus figure and looking forward to pay day in 22 days. Eeeek thats such a long time away. Got some watchers on my ebay items just need some bids now. Got a night out tommorow night and ive budgeted £15 so plenty of wine from the fridge before we go out i think. Ive had to get the train to work as my car is still not mot'd and it took 2 hours i left the house at 7:15 not a great start! Nevermind i feel like ive had quite a productive week with all the declutering and once my cars sorted i will be a happy little DFW Shy x

So my Car is back on the road so im very happy! Not been on for a while and so much is happening. Im relocating to be with my partner! 2 hours down the road so i now need to find a new job! Im still totally commited to debt busting and really once ive got a new job my outgoings will go down loads and i will really be able to bust this debt. I will get my £400 deposit back from my house and wipe that straight from the debt and also will get this years pension contrabutions back which will be about £300 so this too will kill the debt a little more. Very exciting but now i need to get my bum in to gear and find a job! Shy x

  • That all sounds exciting for you moving to be with your partner & a new job & extra cash. Good luck on the job front. I count the days until pay day too, then worry about wishing my life away!

EXCITING NEWS i am getting a bonus end of March. Yehaaaa so happy as its all going to really make a dent in the debt. I now need to work out when i can hand my notice in and still get the bonus as im not sure how it works. Ive put the feelers out for the job hunt and given notice on my house so its all systems go x

In my jobs there has been a clause that if you leave before the bonus is paid they can withold it and not pay you. Well done for getting one! If it is the case you have to stay will that be possible with the move coming up?
